Monster Hunter Wilds | Update 3

Written/Voiced: 17:00
Visually Edited: 2:00
Estimated Length: 22:00? 24:00?

Hi everyone,

The video that I have attached here might still be processing. Give it a second, if you can.

The progress for the video is doing well. It might start to accelerate a little faster on the visual end, but I don't necessarily think this video will be out by the release date of Elden Ring: Nightreign, which is fine. I can usually do 60 sec of visuals a day, and I can usually do 80 seconds of audio/writing a day. This gives me some breathing room. It helps that this project does not have any serious cinematic work that is going to require a lot of concentration.

The video is gonna be a little longer than anticipated because of one section: Weapons. Weapons are much longer than I anticipated. I thought I would mostly do one-off jokes for them, but I've ended up actually explaining them in a pretty good way most of the time because I just had a lot of jokes in mind that I want to tell.

Also, I am using the weapons section as a segway into various different types of topics! For instance, the weapons section will cover offset mechanics, multiplayer callouts, and status mechanics! It's a bigger section than you would think with a lot of fun stuff, and the video is very dynamic in general. So far, I am very proud of the writing, and I think that this video is very fluid.

The video could be 1-2min longer than anticipated for extremely minimal work because of the later planned inclusion of a bunch of funny clips in the "Monsters" section. But, these don't take nearly as long to edit as regular content. I would say they're almost twice as fast or more. So, it will be fine to include as many of these as is appropriate (Probably near the end).

Finally, I decided that I would briefly talk about the gathering hub and multiplayer interactions at the end, which might be 2 minutes, but is mostly supported by clips and is quicker to make. So, though I think the estimated length can be 22 minutes, it can also be 24 or more with less effort for the same quality - which is why I would say that the video's speed might advance more.

Edit: Quick update on the footage assistant:
This is the worst optimized game I've ever played in my entire life, bar none. I have issues getting a consistent 60fps for filming using my RTX 4090 and regularly experience 95% GPU usage. The issue this project is that no potential footage assistant that I am confident in working with (for now) has the absolutely insanely beefy rig (and it's a very shitty job requirement to ask that you own thousands of dollars in equipment), and in my opinion, the position of editor is massively overqualified for what I am asking for. Therefore, the footage assistant is being pushed back to the next project while I work on this myself.
