Chapter 1
All Alex could see when he inherited his uncle’s four story apartment building was dollar signs. No more living paycheck to paycheck as junior management at Chicken Shack. No more driving through rush hour traffic in a crappy KIA with a broken stereo system. No more getting looked down on, well, at least not figuratively. Literally speaking his 5’4” height was not going to be fixed by the sudden windfall. But height be damned, chicks dig rich dudes. With these thoughts dancing through his head, Alex signed above the dotted line-- without reading the fine print.
Unfortunately for Alex, the city inspector was much more diligent and their meeting on Alex’s first day on the job revealed a series of horrible truths. His uncle’s property was swimming in debt, code violations, and its tenants had a serious drug use problem. The police had been called to the property some thirty seven times in the last six months. In short, it was a slum. And there was the small matter of the building being on the verge of condemned.
In consultation with a lawyer he was told the smart move was to declare bankruptcy and accept the property as a total loss. Dreams of financial freedom slipping through his fingers, Alex decided to turn the property around.

“Lets see,” Alex muttered through the pen sticking from between his teeth. He glanced down at the sheet in his clipboard past dozens of crossed out lines. “Brie Black in 43, you are the only one left on the fourth floor.” He stepped up to her door and knocked until he heard the thump of approaching footsteps. The door swung open to reveal an exceptionally large female with chocolate skin. The hair on the sides of her head were cut close to her scalp and the center row of her hair was done up in a purple-tipped fauxhawk. Her eyelashes were thick and full, her lips were even fuller, and her eyes were dark brown pools that seemed to drink him in.
Alex was so caught up in admiring her face that he failed to notice her incredible curves until he glanced back down at his clipboard to make sure he got her name right. Once noticed, Alex doubted he would ever forget her curves. Breasts nearly the size of his head projected from her chest right under Alex’s nose. Their proximity to his line of sight made the temptation to stare at her tits almost impossible to quell. A form fitting white t-shirt molded over her flat abdomen and bunched around her ample hips. Hips that made a credible attempt at filling the doorway were barely contained in a tight jean cutoff shorts which revealed more than a little of her thick thighs. If the rest of her voluptuous body was any indication, her backside was likely exceptionally curvaceous as well. This girl is THICC, Alex thought in amazement.
“Can I help you?” she asked. He looked up, and arched an eyebrow at him.
Alex cleared his throat sheepishly and said, “Right sorry, I’m your uhh new landlord and I was hoping I could ask you a few questions?”
“Sounds to me like you already started,” Brie replied. She leaned out and glanced disinterestedly down the hall and Alex had to resist the urge to ogle her bust as it swung past the door frame into the hall. He stepped back uncertainly.
“Umm right.” Alex glanced down at his clipboard to keep the compulsion to gawk at her under control. “I’m Alex by the way.” Brie accepted his outstretched hand and he was shocked at how easily her palm eclipsed his own. Her fingers were strong too, and he was grateful she did not aggressively crush his hands like some alpha male assholes had the tendency to do.
“Brie.”
“Right. Brie Black huh? Kind of like a superhero name right?” Alex cringed the second the words were out of his mouth. Short and nerdy did not exactly scream ‘respect me’.
Brie eyed him speculatively. “Sure. Anyway, I paid rent last week so are we done here?”
“O-one minute please,” Alex said, much more pleadingly than he had intended. Truthfully interviewing people in the complex made him nervous. There were more than a couple rough characters in the complex but by the third floor he felt like he had a decent handle on projecting confidence. Brie undid all of that momentum in an instant. “I wanted to ask you a few questions I could.”
“You already said that.”
“Hah,” Alex laughed nervously. “I did, didn’t I?” He took a deep breath and began his prepared pitch. “I’m trying to get everyone in the building on a new renter’s insurance plan. You can still use your own insurance if you want but some insurance will be required if you want to keep your apartment. This here,” he reached under the clipboard and handed her one of the insurance brochures, “Should cover any questions you have and the price listed there is discounted by 30% if you sign-up with the rest of the complex.”
Brie took the brochure, gave it a cursory glance before handing it back. “Sure, whatever. Sign me up.”
“Okay, great! It’s really great insurance, you’re covered for up to twenty thousand in damages and…” He trailed off when he saw the total disinterest in her expression. “Anyway, I can umm, well I guess I could sign you up. But I’ll need your social, birthdate, and proof of employment.”
Brie shared her social and birthday then said, “I don’t have proof of employment.”
“You’re unemployed?”
“I didn’t say that,” Brie glanced over her shoulder as though eager to be done with the conversation.
Alex felt a twinge of disappointment without entirely understanding its cause. “Umm, okay? Well, umm, huh. How do you pay rent?”
“With money.”
Alex licked his lips nervously. “Haha, right of course, you did just pay rent right?” He smiled to help relax the tension, but the smile died on his lips when Brie simply stared back at him. “You don’t have any paystubs or… Anything?”
“Nah.”
“O-Okay. Well…” Alex trailed off, he hated the idea of letting her down right after telling her he could get her a good deal on insurance. There had to be some way to get around the proof of employment. “Oh I know, how about I hire you.”
Brie fixed him with a such a deadpan look that Alex started thinking on how to apologize. “I don’t really have the time, I already have a job.”
Inwardly Alex breathed a sigh of relief. “Of course, of course. What I meant is I could backdate a couple checks for you and then when your next rent comes due you just pay me the difference.”
This, at last, got a smile out of Brie. “Isn’t that illegal?”
Alex laughed nervously though he was encouraged somewhat by Brie’s smile. She had wonderfully sparkling white teeth. “Well, maybe we’ll make it official. Your rental history is great, you’ve been here nine months and haven’t been late to make a payment even once. I could use someone like you to keep an eye out.”
“An eye out?”
“I’m sure you’ve heard rumors, some tenants were engaged in umm, illegal activities. I had to evict nearly a dozen people for well- it’s probably better not to say.”
“And you want me to keep an eye out for what, drug dealers?” The smile on Brie’s plush lips twisted into something more like a smirk.
“It’s just a temporary thing, for the insurance. And you seem, you know, trustworthy?”
“Uh huh.”
Alex realized that aside from being extremely tall and voluptuous he knew nothing about this girl. “Actually, I hate to ask but if I’m going to employ you would you mind if I took a look around your apartment. And I totally get if you don’t want to let me in, I was a renter myself until a few weeks ago and I hated when they would let facilities into my place with little or no notice. It’s like a total invasion of privacy and I’m really not trying to-”
“It’s fine,” Brie shrugged and stepped back. opening the door wide to let him in. “It’s a bit of a mess right now, I wasn’t really expecting company.”
“Oh don’t worry,” Alex chuckled as he stepped over the threshold. “No judgement here, I’m not exactly a neat freak.”
Brie lead the way into her modest apartment and Alex got his first look at her backside. Her ass was, in a word, gigantic. He had assumed that she would have a large butt given the width of her hips but nothing could have prepared him for the gigantic ghetto bubble butt straining her jean shorts to the limit. He could actually see a few inches of dark rear cleavage where the thickness of her butt pulled the waistband away from her back. Tiny puckers of denim ran along the seam where the stitches had started to give way under the incredible pressure her ass exerted. “You coming?” Brie asked over her shoulder. Alex flushed, she had caught him staring. Brie smirked and brushed a stray lock of purple-tipped hair out of her eyes. “Don’t worry, white boy. I get that a lot.”
“S-sorry,” he mumbled and hurried out of the entryway.
“Like I said, its nothin’. Most black dudes start spitting game the second they see me in profile.”
“I bet,” Alex replied absently.
“And I’ll tell you the same thing I tell them. You can look but don’t touch or I’ll break your fucking balls. I was a division 1 striker, so believe me when I say that you ain’t standin’ up after I kick you.”
Alex found his throat suddenly dry. “U-Understood.”
“Good,” Brie looked him up and down as if seeing him for the first time. Alex knew he was not much to look at: only a few inches over five feet with a scrawny build, pale skin, a moderately attractive face, a mop of brown hair, and box framed prescription glasses. “Besides, I’ve probably got at least fifty pounds on you.” Brie laughed and the familiar feeling of being picked on substituted the tension. Alex sighed and turned his attention to the apartment.
Brie’s living room was a disaster area. A couple of bookshelves lined with note binders were the only furniture not covered in discarded clothes, empty takeout bags, and various other household trash. A huge bra was draped over the back of her sofa and the broad surface of her TV reflected what appeared to be a row of dildos on her coffee table. Alex looked uncomfortably away from the large dildos and noticed a strange silvery rectangle pushed up against one wall. It looked a bit like a mini-fridge except the stainless steel construction and digital display made it seem more like safe. The kind of safe a drug dealer might use.
Surely she would not lead him directly to a stash of illegal drugs after their previous conversation. “Umm,” Alex began uncertainly. “What is that?”
Brie followed his gaze. “That’s my work.”
“What do you do, exactly?” Alex tried to keep his tone nonchalant, but still sounded a bit accusatory.
“Easier to show you,” Brie replied and walked over and knelt in front of the fridge-safe-thing, giving Alex a look at an even deeper valley of gluteal cleavage as her shorts shifted down due to her posture. Brie was showing more ass from the top of her jean shorts than most girls had in total. “There.” She pulled the door open and a cloud of frosty air billowed out. Inside a bunch of blue vials with labels like “RX-74” stood in neat little rows.
“Whoa.” Was all Alex could think to say.
“These little babies are my master’s thesis,” she said pridefully. After letting Alex study the interior for a few seconds, she shut the door and dispelled the cloud of cold air
“What is it?” Alex asked.
“New drug, biochemical formula. It’s pretty technical to explain.” Brie shrugged
“So you are a drug dealer,” Alex replied flatly. That earned a laugh from Brie and Alex found himself chuckling with her. He had seen meth before, hell he’d had to clean some out of a ventilation duct last week. That was the only blue street drug he knew of and whatever was in those vials was nothing like meth, it was liquid and more seawater colored.
“It’s a catalyst,” Brie explained, standing to face him. She crossed her arms beneath her huge bust and looked thoughtful. “Basically its an enzyme that gestates in the endorphin system and allows people to produce a second enzyme that is completely new.”
“I think I understood some of those words.”
Brie shrugged. “I told you it was complicated.”
“Wow, so you’re like- really smart?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Brie rested a hand on her hip and assumed an offended posture.
“What? You think I… I just meant that... I mean I wasn’t trying to imply-”
Brie laughed, “You’re too easy, white boy. I’m just playing with you.”
“Jeez, give me a break,” Alex grumbled.
“Aww,” Brie cooed and closed the distance between them in two short strides. “You satisfied I’m not hiding anything now?” Her tits were uncomfortably close to his face and Alex had to resist the urge to step back or look away.
“Yeah, sure,” he said, forcing himself to meet her gaze. She really was beautiful. Her chocolate skin was flawless and her minimalist makeup- a thin glaze of eyeshadow and lipgloss that highlighted her natural color- adeptly accentuated her inherent beauty. Alex found he was blushing again and had to break eye contact. “I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from the insurance company.”
Brie shrugged, her moment of playfulness vanished as if it had been a figment of his imagination. “Kay. Well, you know the way out.” Alex made his way to the door and was halfway through when Brie’s voice stopped him. “Hey I was thinking,” she began. “Since I’m helping you keep an eye out for fake money, maybe you could help me.”
Alex cocked his head. “With what?”
Brie hesitated for a long moment then shrugged and nodded to herself. “I need help testing the latest tweak to my serum.”
“I’m not really good with needles,” Alex admitted.
“No needles, its soluble in stomach acid. You can drink it.”
“You want me to drink it?” Alex replied, flabbergasted. “I thought you wanted me to help you, like, hold a bunny rabbit or something.”
Brie rolled her eyes. “It’s not a permanent thing. The enzyme exits your body usually within a couple weeks, and it’s perfectly safe. It’s already been approved for human testing.”
“But why me?”
Brie shrugged. “You’re here and I’m lazy. I’ve been meaning to put an add out for weeks but I keep putting it off. Look, I’ll pay you triple what I’m already paying in rent.” Brie was paying eight hundred dollars in rent, three times that was almost two and a half thousand dollars. That was money Alex could sorely use to help make the payments on the loans that were already overdue with maybe a little extra for fixing up some of the currently inhospitable units. Taking a strange drug from a tenant did seem a little bit out there but where else was he going to pick up an extra two thousand on short notice.
“If I want to continue after the first couple weeks would you want to hire me again?”
Brie’s dark eyes twinkled. “Definitely.”
An ongoing income stream of thousands of dollars was a game changer. At this point Alex was not sure he could afford to say no regardless of his misgivings. “Alright,” he said, “I’ll do it.”
“Great!” Brie smiled broadly and bounced on her heels, sending shockwaves rippling through her heavy bust. She hurried over to the freezer unit, plucked out one of the vials, then bounced over and pressed it into Alex’s hands. “Better to have it with a chaser, it tastes like ass.” Alex looked between the vial and the amazonian bombshell that had delivered it to him. The whole encounter was bordering on surreal. Brie misread his expression and said “Oh, right.” After a quick trip back into her apartment she returned with a stack of hundred dollar bills. A quick count totaled fifteen hundred dollars. “I’ll get the rest to you later. Come by this weekend?”
“This weekend?”
“I’ll need to run some tests.”
“Oh right. Sure, I’ll try to stop by on Saturday afternoon.”
Brie shrugged. “Whenever works, I’ll be here.” .
