The Plucky Squire Review!

Devolver Digital sent review copies out for Plucky Squire about...like six hours before release, with a review embargo that was bizarrely after the separate embargo for the full game. (i.e., I could have uploaded my entire gameplay recording as one video about six hours before I would've been allowed to review the game.)
If not for the Secret Agent Clank drop and the stream I'd already promised, plus podcast obligations afterwards, I would've stayed up even later than I already did to finish writing this script the evening of 9/16 (more like 4am on 9/17), and to record/edit a quick review for that noon embargo. By the time I was recovered on Wednesday from all of that talking/yelling, I felt it was too late to really put anything out; the game's included on the upper PS+ tiers, after all, and the goal was clearly to focus the promotion around streams rather than reviews. Since a lot of folks were a lot more glowing than I was, I didn't feel like being both late and a downer, so here we are!
Note that this script is written to be read aloud, so it's not something I'd hold to my own standards if I was, say, writing properly for a book or article. (Plus, Google didn't want the formatting to stick when I went to make it a bit more readable as just a written review, so instead we're stuck with blocky paragraphs and no indentations.) I'll probably make this public as a lil sampler on the free Patreon tier later, as well.
