12/7 Status Update

Sorry about the lack of a post last week. I was extremely busy last weekend and just didn't have time to do it. There was Thanksgiving, which is an all day affair where I need to do a 3 hour drive each way, then the next day I flew across the country to see some friends, and then then I had to pull double shifts at my day job to get all the Black Friday orders made. So it was pretty hectic, but I did do writing where I could.

Right now, Naked Ambition is in the stage of me writing lots of fragments of scenes. There's so much stuff that happens and different ways it happens that I just need to get as much down onto the paper as I can and then I can tie it all together with connective tissue. But the good news is I am writing it, and the writers block I had for like a year isn't effecting me at all. Things are flowing and I like what's coming out. It's only a matter of how long it takes at this point.

The other good news for Naked Ambition is the contract has been signed and it's coming to Steam! That contract is for the same publisher as the Netoria Tactics games since sales of the second one have been fantastic under their supervision. It's done so well I'm pretty concerned about the IRS and my health insurance being angry at me at the sudden income. Hopefully Naked Ambition can pull the same kind of thing off and I'll be able to rely less on my day job going forward, meaning more time to work on my games and even better art. Maybe animations?! We'll see!

For Netoria Tactics 2, the December update is basically done. At this point I'm mostly writing Act 2 stuff as well as writing more gropes. The amount of grope conversations should more than double for the update. And I figured out a way to let you see all the grope art and animations in the gallery as well. I really like the direction Act 2 is taking for Vashti. Her different routes have such different tones it's a lot of fun to jump between them. I get to write her in total domination for the naughty route, I get to write her in total submission for the villain route, and I even get to write her in a loving relationship for the nice route. I've done a little bit of work on the gameplay, but not much yet. That will probably be my big task for January, getting all the mechanics and skills and the first few levels made.

In other news, the update schedule has changed. I'm now doing the full Act 2 for each POV as one update each. So there will only be 4 updates instead of 8 and each will be double length from what I planned. The new Vashti POV Act 2 release date is in March. This is at the request of the publisher, and at this point whatever they want goes. They're obviously way better at selling video games then I am. On my end it doesn't change much in terms of production, I just do two Vashti cycles in a row and only release at the end. I will however put new content on the beta server as it gets made. So once the first half of Vashti Act 1 is done you can play that on there instead of waiting for March if you want.

In art news, the neutral gropes are now done. Next up is the route specific ones for Vashti. These will get a LOT more saucy. But first, there's a new special kind of grope I'm also having made.

Here we have a solo shot of Shahrazard with her skirt being lifted up. Is it just the wind? Or something else? There's some of these for every character, but I'll leave exactly what's going on here a bit of a mystery for now.
