10/18 Status Update
Added 2025-10-18 19:17:41 +0000 UTCNetoria Tactics 2's build was approved by Steam this week! So all the fuss about Steam purging NSFW stuff, not allowing early access games, etc, didn't matter in the end. The game is coming and coming soon. On November 10th to be exact. Only three-ish weeks away! I hope this release plan of putting it on Steam so I don't have to manually push bug fixes to like five sites at once works out. It does have a pretty significant problem of not working for people who can't/don't want to use Steam for sexy games though. But the problem is that I can't give people the game for less than what I charge on Steam, and I don't want to charge people a recurring amount for the access to the game. Maybe I'll make it so there's a public version that lags a good ways behind the Steam one? But that doesn't actually solve any of the problems I wanted to solve with Steam.
The next month or so are all going to be focused on making the Netoria 2 launch as focused as possible. But that doesn't mean I'm not working on other stuff too. I've been writing for Naked Ambition as well, getting into the meat of the end game crisis events. These are by far the most complex events I've ever made for the game. But at a fundamental level, within all the branching and variations for what route your on, it's based on a score. The higher the score, the better your Princess handled the crisis. And the better your Princess handled the crisis the more impressed the council members are. Does the Princess lead the army to victory against foreign invaders? You bet that will make them much more likely to vote for her. Leave the kingdom a demon infested ruin after making mistake after mistake? Maybe it wouldn't be a great idea to give the Princes the throne...
This week I gave the full version of Netoria 2 Act 1 to play testers. Every level, every scene, they're supposed to treat it as if what they see is what the player is going to see. Except music, haven't finished that yet. But Act 1 is "done". Minus lots of tweaks and bug fixes of course. As a Steam release, I need to make this a lot more polished than I normally do. This is also different from a normal first release, because it isn't a first release. I've made public versions in the past and gotten plenty of feedback from them. The game is what it is, I like it, players so far seem to like it, no reason to fret about about the plan at this point. All I can do is execute and see what happens.

For today's preview here's some art from the "nice" half of Vashti's route. I think Rad Lad is doing a pretty great job lately, I like the thicker line art stuff he's doing lately a lot. There's nothing crazy to talk about for this one, it's a Vashti-Azar scene. So you'll get this in Act 2 on Vashti POV if Vashti isn't losing to Kamaal. I wanted these scenes to show them exploring each others bodies and pleasuring themselves in more unorthodox ways. A thighfuck isn't exactly exotic, but it's a good stepping stone to other things. I can't just show them having penetrative sex six times in a row. And since we're talking about Vashti stuff, here's a sketch of an Act 2 Vashti grope.

This is a neutral grope, so it shows up when you're on a different POV than the grope characters. Since this is between Zaman and Vashti, it can happen on Shah POV mainly. My idea behind these was I wanted them to not be all that explicit. I needed to escalate from Act 1, but I wanted to show the characters being teasing and flirtatious. As an Act 2 thing, these can only happen if your character didn't "succeed" in Act 1. In this case Shah has been separated from Zaman and has to watch Vashti have fun with the man she loves. So there's a lot of hugging and kissing and such here. Of course, this specific art is of Vashti flashing her asshole, so not the best example.

I won't be able to buy it from steam (since I couldn't buy the first one), but as for a public version: pretty sure the game will find its way to the public (which would remove your need to maintain more than one version).
