Rest of 2022 Vibe Check! Upcoming vids and feedback from you!
Added 2022-10-20 14:49:28 +0000 UTCHey folks, I hope you've all been well! Things have been a little quiet in Boltland (patent pending), but I've been chipping at a few different projects. Actually more than a few, to the point that I don't know which ones are coming out in what order! What's for sure coming in the next couple months:
- Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series retrospective - likely Nov., this one's the next long-form one that I'm passing along to Mr. MykonosFan to lead the edit on.
- A proper video on the R&C1 Randomizer - likely the first week of Nov. to line up with the series' 20th anniversary.
- That Memory Card video idea - I'm hoping to bang this one out quickly for next week once I've finished sending Chris the Ty voiceover. This might end up moved back.
- Twisted Metal series retrospective - I have no fuckin' clue, probably December at this rate. Most of the footage is already recorded, but I might not have time to get to VO because of the other stuff below.
There's more in the cards beyond these, but I don't know which projects I'm picking up and when, because I'm currently anticipating that Sonic and/or God of War review codes will come in and throw the entire schedule off anyway. I have a plan for that, but until I know what my timeframe is, it's iffy. I do have two more ideas that I'd be putting out in 2022 as well, if I do them. I'd like your thoughts on these:
- An updated re-do of my PlayStation All-Stars video - it's been five years since I made that video, and it's one that's important to me. I'm still broaching the idea of trying to redo that a la Sly, where I add new info in (and in this case rerecord the whole thing/combine Parts 1 and 2 into one video). It'd be an easy enough come-down from that new-game-review-rush that I'm expecting the week before, but I want to hear your thoughts. Most of you probably haven't even seen that video though!
- "Revisiting the Best/Most Successful Games from [YEAR]" - this is a little series idea I've tossed around for I wanna say a year or two now, looking at the games that people thought were the best or most important in a given year, exploring how those games hold up now in terms of impact. I've hesitated to drop this on the main channel because it's a little out there (even compared to my Nuts Bolt Summer®), so this one would probably go to you guys or the wider TGB2 audience first anyway for some feedback before I'd drop this around GotY season.
This is all a lot of words to say that 2022's on its way to ending with a bang - there are a couple videos I haven't even mentioned that might sneak right in too! That 100k mark is a moonshot by the end of the year, but you can call my mission Apollo.

Do that last one, you underestimate how keen we all are to sit through a 12 hour breakdown of 2007.
