7/18 Status Update

Another week come and gone, what happened over here at Apollo Seven Games? Basically what's been happening. A side effect of the publishing deal I did is the date I release content is a lot more firm now. So what I'm working on when has less variation than it used to. I want to make sure I get things done on time, which means less playing around with other stuff to be safe. I know that if I spend time doing design for random things that attract my interest those random things are likely to become entire games I devote years to making. Like how Netoria Tactics was me playing around in SRPG studio and now we're on the sequel and year three of development.

Because I want to guarantee the femboy Carwyn stuff is done by August 11th, that's basically all I did this week. And it's all all do the next few weeks too. It's coming along well, I added some extra content since the art got done a little early. So now there's going to be a Gold version bonus scene of femboy Carwyn in a blowbang with all the other guys. Gotta work Emrys and Mordrid in there somewhere since they don't really have anything to do in the canon femboy storyline. But enough talking, let's get to the preview art!

Aw, now there's some relationship goals right there. Guys, find a woman who will peg you in a rocky field while you're dressed up as a woman. A tale as old as time. I've talked about this before, but part of the challenge in making the femboy route have pairings with four different characters is writing them so they're all distinct. Gwen, Vivian, Owain, and Kobold Joe all have to explore a different aspect of the Carwyn is now a femboy experience. I think I've done a fairly good job, there's still some writing to do but the foundations are all there.

What's not there yet are the gropes. The system is all in place but I haven't written any of them. I usually do those towards the end of writing a route because I need to know the tone of the relationship and that comes out when I write the scenes. Yeah Carwyn is getting his ass slapped, but what is the tone of the ass-slappage? How into it is he? What is the motivation of the slapper? How big is their dick? All questions that need to be answered before I write the three lines of dialog that accompany each picture.

I'm being a little sarcastic, but I do try to make all the tones line up as well as possible. Ideally, each part of the system reinforces the others and build each other up. The presentation of the games is just text and some still images, if I want to create a compelling narrative and cast of characters I can't have stuff contradicting each other.
