5/2 Status Update

No big announcements this week, just continuing to work on stuff. I did some writing for the new Sunny content in Netoria Tactics 1, but most of my work this week was on the sequel. There's lots of little stuff I need to iron out before it's all finished. I know there's not really any time pressure because the Steam release has been delayed a while, but I still want to get it all done. The sooner it's all together the sooner it can be seriously playtested and improved.

I've got my backup artist working on the new Sunny scenes, and Rad Lad will get started on the femboy Carwyn stuff next week. Femboy Carwyn is a little different than the usual routes, it starts off on one rail and then at the end can branch off onto four different ones. There's not enough decisions to make at the end of the game, so hopefully this helps that. The route always starts off with Owain as the driving force behind Carwyn's feminization, but after he's in full femboy mode, Carwyn can reject Owain in favor of other characters. If he's already with Gwen or Vivian, then you need to avoid Owain's gropes to stay in a relationship with them. Otherwise there's one more competitor for Carwyn's affections... Kobold Joe!

Yes, this is the route where good old Kobold Joe can finally get some. Since he's so disgusted by human women, I decided a femboy is probably more up his alley. Furry (or I guess scaly in this case) content is something I don't usually explore, but why not throw it in there? Some people will like it and it's easily avoidable. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or budget to really fully flesh out each of these options, so they'll only get a few scenes each. They're more of a different capstone of Carwyn's femboy journey then completely separate routes themselves.

Since I used Vivian's sex scene as the preview art, let's show off her new sprite as well. The animation is mostly the same, but the colors are a lot more true to her art. No more blue hair and clothes. Where does she keep her bird thing anyway? It's not in any of the camp scenes. Maybe if the furry fans really love the Kobold Joe content I'll make Vivian's Bird the next major route. Have it transform into something a little more humanoid so it's less bestiality and more sexy birdman dick.

But jokes aside, the only unfulfilled route after this one would be the futa Gwen content. I guess there's possibilities for that if this update to Netoria 1 is a big success. But I don't really want to dwell on it for too long. I'm mostly doing this to fill the gap caused by Netoria 2's delay. I've never had to deal with a delay caused by distribution/marketing. Usually they happen because I'm lagging behind in making stuff. But this time I actually was going to finish on time before the urgency got pulled out from under me. Hopefully I didn't make a mistake reinvesting time and money into the first game.
