1/31 Status Update

It's the last week of January, meaning we're creeping up to that March targeted release date for the full Act 1 of Netoria 2. Are we still on target. Eh... maybe? While art was chugging away, for me this week was all editing. Basically I realized there were problems with the Zaman POV and I've been trying to fix them. What kind of problems do I mean?

While I feel the other three POVs have good build up to their main plot with their villain, Zaman's relationship with Tariq felt kind of weird. Tariq himself wasn't feeling like that strong a character and the way these plots are written, the villain is supposed to be an obstacle that stops the POV character from achieving their self-actualization. But what was Zaman's character growth supposed to be? The rebel thing, the becoming a girl thing, it all just didn't tie up together right.

So that's what I've been spending time trying to fix. Now the through line is more about how Zaman and his desire for love and acceptance. This desire leads him liking his female form and is starting to embrace it by the end of Act 1. Now instead of Tariq causing Zaman being kept in the form for all of Act 2, Tariq is against it. Tariq wants his buddy Zaman back like in the old days, not this new, female Zaman. Instead of driving Zaman towards femininity, Tariq will be a backlash against it. Tariq will still do the same kind of stuff with Zaman, treating her like a sex toy, whoring her out to other people, but now with an attitude that's more like "you wanted to be a girly slut? Well this is how sluts get treated!" Hopefully this will make the whole POV feel more consistent and clear.

And since we're talking about Act 2 Zaman, here's some art for him. Not on his POV unfortunately, that one is still in the lineart stage. This is Duke, and it's the class he gets on the Zaman-Vashti pairing route. And for the scene art preview today, how about some more futa Vashti + Shahrazad action?

 This scene actually pairs with that Zaman artwork, its used on Vashti POV on he naughty side of her route, which to start you need to seduce Zaman in Act 1. Is it still NTR if she seduces both parts of the couple? I'll leave that up to the scientists to decide.
