10/27 Status Update
Added 2024-10-27 19:25:24 +0000 UTCBoo! It's almost Halloween time! And that means a Steam store event that pushed me and the The Monster Within artist to actually do something for that game again. In the end that thing ended up being blood level 10 with some fancy new boss monsters to fight. Like this new version of the Warlock:

Okay, I know people aren't really here for The Monster Within at this point. It's technically not even actually a Apollo Seven Games project. But I have to write something in these status updates and that's what took up most of my week. But not all of it.
I did a bit of writing for Netoris 2 this week, but mostly what I worked on was level design. Originally I was going to have three levels of the route split between going over/under the mountains. Well now that's cut to only one. It was just getting kind of samey, levels two and three didn't really feel necessary. I think I found something more interesting to replace them.
Like this level in a port city. Our party has to get passage on a boat to cross an inland sea. Since they're wanted criminals, they have to hire some shady people to do so. And of course that goes completely fine with no complications whatsoever. Except for the part where they get kidnapped, that is a minor problem. The port is level 9, level 10 is a fight with some pirates, and level 11 is the guys and gals being separated from each other and having to get free with the help of the POV villain. I think this is going to be much more interesting than just more levels of caves or snowy mountain passages.
Lastly for today, let's take a look at some more art.

It's the kiss from last update now fully completed. I'll have something a little spicier to show next time. And maybe even some finished character art for the villains, those are starting to get close.
