6/14 Status Update

I've pretty much recovered from my illness so you're getting the full status update experience today. Although there honestly isn't that much to say in this one. I've pretty much just been working on writing the new Netoria Tactics update. It's going pretty well I'd say, I'm managing to get a good amount written every day. The actual levels are still lagging behind though. I think I can probably manage to get it all done by next month. And then after that, I might change my focus more toward actual production on Netoria 2.

So did the vacation pay off? Early results point to probably. Things are flowing much better than before I went on it. Working on Netoria feels fairly rewarding at the moment and not just like work I'm pushing myself through. I don't have a bunch of energy for anything else really, but for now, Netoria is enough.

I'm losing track a bit of what art I've previewed or not, but I think this one hasn't been shown off before. It's the first time Carwyn and Gwen have sex on this new route.

Over the course of writing the new Carwyn Triumphant route, it's really come to be largely about the personal dynamics of a throuple. Neither Gwen nor Vivian are very happy with the idea of sharing Carwyn, but they go along with it because they feel they have to. But over the course of the story, they learn to love each other as well as Carwyn. It's still fairly wholesome, but at the start there's a lot of friction between them.

I think a lot of people wanted this route to be upbeat and happy the whole way through, but stuff happens in the writing process. Generally, I set up scenarios and let it play out between the characters naturally. I rarely say "okay in this scene they're happy and then in the next scene they're sad" or anything like that. If the circumstances are there to make Gwen happy she'll be happy, and if not, she won't be. I don't think a throuple route could really exist without some level of cattiness between Gwen and Vivian. It just doesn't make sense to me for either of them to immediately abandon their egos and go around with it without question.

Netoria 2 has gotten far enough along that I feel comfortable talking about more aspects of it. So today let's talk about something my audience tends to love, TF. One of the biggest changes from the first game to the second is that the TF content is more numerous and integrated into the rest of the story. Every character has a gender-bent version to some extent with it being particularly important for Prince and Shahrazad (who's labeled as FMC in the sketch below). For Prince, his content works similarly to how female Carwyn works in the first game. In general, Prince's POV is the closest to the first game with similar mechanics and goals for the characters. It's not just one linear route though, there are multiple outcomes for if you pursue his TF content. For example, you can continue the love route between him and Shah now in a new and improved lesbian form. Or if Shah has been stolen by Friend, Prince can try to integrate himself into that relationship in more of a sharing capacity.

Shah works a little bit differently in that she becoming a he doesn't change the routes all that much. Basically, if you want Prince and Friend to be fighting over a femboy instead of a woman, Shah's TF content is the thing for you. It's more involved than just swapping out the art to have a dick instead of a pussy, but unlike Prince, her TF doesn't drive the relationship drama in new directions much.

Friend and the Vizier have more subdued TF content but it's still there. There's no sketch of Vizier here because she doesn't change appearances much, it's more subtle futa transformation. Like most things in the game, all of this is optional content you can make happen but can also ignore. If you don't want men turning into women, women turning into femboys, and futas in the game ignoring it won't worsen the experience beyond not seeing those routes.

That's all for this week. As always, thank you for your continued support.

Comments

Sorry if I'm misreading your comment, but as far as I can tell you didn't ask a question.

More than one girl is still considered a harem and you've avoided my question.

Glad you recovered again! :) It makes total sense that Gwen and Viv first have their claws out.

IncubusLaertes

There's only two girls, can't really have a harem with that.

Apollo Seven

Throuple? This was supposed be a harem route not a polyamory route. Those are different relationship dynamics. A harem ultimately the girls are there for the "leader" of the harem, maybe they like each other enough for threeways. But its not an actual equal relationship between the other members as if they're all deeply in love with each other on their own. It's ultimately a hierarchy with one person as the focus. A harem wouldn't be that interested in banging on their own without the main guy for example, thats not why they're around. If they are, thats not a harem at that point. Not I'm not saying they wouldn't be best friends, but it would be that, then lovers to each other like they're lovers to Carwyn. A bigger harem, for example might have girls that don't really interact that much at all, if its really big, their own little clique of girls.
