New video! Small schedule tweaks! Exclamations!
Added 2020-08-22 16:27:28 +0000 UTCI keep getting into the habit of not posting a Patron update because I have two videos aimed to come out nearly back-to-back, and every time those videos end up further apart and I look dumb. So hello! I read an entire book about a game's development last night instead of finishing my editing on the Ghost of Tsushima video, AMA.
If you missed the Phoenotopia video, I definitely think you folks would like to hear about this ambitious but frustrating gem of a game, especially since we've gotten word that a patch is on the way to fix almost every issue that I and others highlighted with the game! It was a fun experience to directly send some feedback in to the developer, although of course I don't expect that my feedback alone is what's leading to changes.
Ghost of Tsushima will likely be out Monday, because I hate Sunday uploads. But that's not the schedule tweak I'm referring to: Initially next week I had a planned video pondering which Nintendo game hurt the company the most, and while working on footage and research, that's bloated into a far larger project on just one of the games I was going to discuss. If you've seen my Twitter lately (cough @TheGoldenBolt if not), you can probably guess what game the next video after Ghost will focus on. That video should be out by the 31st.
From there, my class schedule starts back up for the fall, and I'm hoping to keep trucking forward on the weekly-ish schedule I've been good about hitting in 2020, but realistically there's a chance things slow down between that and my full-time day job. I've got editing help from Mr. MykonosFan which will be a huge help and he's a great friend and go watch his videos too please, but it'll boil down to how much time I actually have to play the games and write/record scripts, let alone the 1-2 videos (and one PLUsone) I'll still be editing a month. Either way, I'll try to keep up to the standard you've come to expect, and I think we'll manage decently enough - episode 100 of The Golden Bolt is still in sight for 2020, but it'll be close. We're only about 15 away!
