Post-Mortem: Oblivion ESRB

Another week, another video! I don't have a ton of post-mortem on this video either, but I do have some stuff to say about this video's new style - at least for my style it's new!

When I decided I wanted to cover the Oblivion ESRB change, I knew I really wanted to change it up. Other videos on the topic already exist, from far larger channels than little ol' Bolt. (I usually check to see if other videos exist on a topic before I start production, but I don't tend to watch those videos, so that I'm not unintentionally or subconsciously taking from those creators' hard work!) Just spitting the facts and sharing articles a la the PSAS video wouldn't cut it, so I decided to take some inspiration from a creator that's been around since the dawn of YouTube, that I only really started binging recently: Tom Scott. If you watch his videos, you'll probably catch the inspiration (and the red shirt!); if you don't watch him yet, be warned: The moment you start, you'll binge his entire content library in about a day!

I don't know that I'll do this sort of outdoors shot again soon, but I want to play with it again soon. It'll finally give me a reason to play with the lapel mic I bought back in 2016 and never used! Either way if I do, I'll double check my spot before I film each clip, I took a step too far back in the outro takes, so I ended up out of focus, whoopsie...I'll chalk that up to a learning experience.
