End of 2018 Update!

Hey everybody! It's been a while since I've posted any updates here, or any posts, really...oops! Generally I know you all are active on the Discord server, so I end up deciding not to push an update to Patreon a lot of the time. (If you'd prefer a Patreon push too, let me know and I'll make sure I'm better about it!)

I just want to say thank you for your support throughout 2018. Through every review, every PLUSone, and every tweak, you've been here, and I'll never forget that! With just a number of hours left in the year, the channel just crossed 6,000 subscribers, and I can barely believe it.

2019 is going to be a year of change, I hope: New video styles, a new upload schedule, new guests, and so on. I've got plans to cut back on traditional reviews to explore topics with some more flavor and outreach - reviews are a lot of fun to make, but also take a LOT of time, and I think I could better use that time on topics that interest more of the community. The reviews will still be around (and in fact I've even brought an editor on board to help cut into those and keep them frequent!), but they'll often have a key goal around which the video is positioned. For example: is Spyro 2 REALLY as good as you remember? 😉

With all this talk about new, I'll leave you with my favorite new aspect coming to The Golden Bolt in 2019: New logos! I hope you guys have a wonderful, safe New Year's, and I'll be back with another video VERY soon!
