12/17 Status Update
Added 2023-12-17 18:13:20 +0000 UTCThis week was spent on wrangling artists for the Netoria steam release and trying to get the At the Mountains of Friendship update finished. Let's talk about Netoria Tactics first.
Here's the new art that's going to be in the Steam version:
- New title screen by the same artist, just to make it different (and I didn't have the rights to use it for a Steam version anyway)
- Fully differentiated gropes for Gwen (we're halfway there but this will finish it)
- New scene art that will get rid of the grope pop-ins in place for full illustrations and update some places where the same art was used for all three of Owain, Emrys, and Mordrid.
I'm also commissioning new epilogue scenes for female Carwyn in this same batch. Besides the Steam stuff, also coming out will be a female Carwyn update at the same time. There will now be three epilogues for her. The Conquerors one will stay mostly the same and be used for if Cythraul lost. The new ones will be for the cases of female Carywn + slut Gwen and female Carwyn + Cythraul winning. I'll also add more use of female Carwyn in other scenes and in the camp and such.
I don't have a timeline for this coming out. Maybe February? The art has only just been commissioned and I have lots of other stuff to work on so it won't be all that soon. And then after that, I'll do the golden route like I've talked about before. After that, I'm not making any promises but the futa Gwen routes and femboy Carwyn routes are probably going to happen too.
While we're on art, the Naked Ambition art is coming along as well:

If this character looks familiar but you're not sure where she's in the game, this is the same rebel that shows up at the Festival of the Sun on the peasant rebellion crisis route. There are three end-game crises that can happen; war, demon invasion, and peasant rebellion. Some character routes force only one to happen. For example, Gales always has demon invasion and Normand always has war. It'd be a little weird to go through Gales's story which is all about hunting demons and instead deal with some rowdy peasants. How the Princess manages the crisis is her last big chance to gain and lose favor.
Most of my work this week was on AtMoF. This update has been way more work than I thought it was going to be. The sanity stuff was a lot of changes, but I ended up completely rewriting everything about how scenes play and trigger. Solo scenes are now tied to sanity and pairing scenes are mostly the same but there's now the max friendship level for girls has been doubled to make friendship more impactful. You can watch scenes in the regular gallery now and there are also settings to autoplay them and only show prompts for scenes you haven't watched in a previous run.
All those features weren't there before because of coding problems. So fixing all those problems has taken a while. But I pretty much finished it up last night. What's left before the update is ready? A little more writing for BFF's scenes, although they're mostly done, some more UI changes I need to finish up, some balancing, and getting BFF's voice acting done. The changelog right now looks something like this:
- Added 6 new items
- You can now watch full scenes in the gallery
- Added the sanity mechanic
- Triggering girl solo scenes is now done on the main recruit phase screen instead of in the girl info window
- Changed Dominique's leader ability
- Got rid of the scene gallery and replaced it with a sandbox mode
- Buffed Emma slightly
- Friendship bonuses now have higher caps and friendship points now increase by 1 each time girls fight together
- Added BFF for $10 patrons, released Sarah for $5 patrons, and released Lydia for free
- Added Emma's bonus scene
That's without listing any of the bug fixes or minor balance changes, which there are a lot of. So it's been a good deal bigger than I expected. And 1.3 is supposed to introduce meta progression and unlocks which should also be a huge update. So needless to say these updates are coming out slower than I expected or would like. But the important thing is to make the game better, not just push out new content as fast as possible.
That's all for this week. As always thank you for your continued support.
