10/27 Status Update
Added 2023-10-27 22:08:45 +0000 UTCOn Wednesday, At the Mountains of Friendship 1.1 came out. Wait, Wednesday? To be honest, I'm not sure if my Friday releases help or hurt the games. It's good to be consistent, but maybe there's people who miss the updates because they never check over the weekend but do on Wednesday. Anyway, Sarah is out, leaders are out, onto BFF and the next new mechanic.
All of BFF's character art is done, so the artist has moved onto her scenes. Right now we're just in the sketch stage, so let's look at a sketch.

BFF diverts from the usual story structure a little bit in that her first sex scene happens early on. This one is her fucking her girlfriend before the transformation starts. Her two other scenes will be mid-transformation, and one fully transformed.
But AtMoF isn't the star of the show today, that's Netoria Tactics. The past few days I've started getting the levels of the epilogues all put together. Things are moving pretty smoothly and all the pieces are starting to get put together now. Let's take a look at one of the levels.

For the bandit ending, we return to this familiar village yet again. I'm sure the locals will be happy to see one their liberators. But they won't be once they find out why Gwen has sent Carwyn here... I said before that these were in-between a flashback and a real level. Well in the end these ended up closer to flashback levels of gameplay. The thing is that these have to be really easy, since you're definitely not supposed to lose them. But a lot of them feature only a few characters and I don't know who people have been leveling on their run. I don't want there to be a situation where someone can't actually beat the epilogue because of choices in the rest of the game. And if I just make it super easy, than the combat won't be fun anyway. So I simplified them a bit.
I think by next Friday the test build should be good to go. And then I can use the next week to do editing and such. One thing that's making the epilogues take a bit of time is that I really want to get them right. This is it, the ending of all the storylines, it has to be a wrap thing up, be satisfying, and make sense with all the previews events. That requires a lot of editing and tweaking both the endings themselves and of previous scenes. Maybe I'll even do an editing update at some point. No actual new content, just changes to existing ones. One of the problems with making story based games with a release schedule like this is that it's almost a first draft. If this was a novel, I would go back and change tons of stuff, rewrite sections of the story, etc.
But with this kind of writing I just kind of have to stick with what's there. So once the story is done maybe some editing is in order. Or maybe I'll just go straight into the expansion content we'll see how I feel. I'm not feeling sick of this story and characters yet, so I'll probably make a good amount of it.
That's all for this week. As always, thank you for your continued support.

I´m with Alexandar04, if you find the time and energy, I would highly appreciate an editing update once all is finished. Cheers for your good work so far!

2023-10-28 12:49:24 +0000 UTCI definitely would love to see you do just an editing update to the game. Smoothing out some early story moments so that they work better with late game ones. Anyway keep up the great job!!!
