9/15 Status Update

It's another airport addition of the status update! This time I'm headed home from my vacation, and then it'll be straight to work fixing all the bugs people found in the recent At the Mountains of Friendship build. And then in one week... the game launches!

But today's update isn't really about AtMoF, it's about Netoria. While on break that's actually the game I could work on more and the epilogue update is making progress. I've got the first sketches for the new sex scenes in, let's take a look.

This is from one of the variations of the Hero ending. Here we have Carwyn and Vivian in a passionate embrace. And is that a baby bump I see? It sure is! 

And here's Vivian again, still pregnant but... hey, that's not Carwyn! Is this that NTR stuff I've been hearing so much about?

There's a total of six main endings to Netoria Tactics. Hero, Soldier, Mercenary, Fugitive, Conqueror, and Bandit. And then within those endings there's variations for different ways the story played out. Which guy NTR'd Gwen, did the Netorase stuff late in the game happen, etc. There's a total of nine new sex scene images in this update so each has 1.5 on average. 

Aside from the sex scenes, each epilogue has a small mini-level, more than a flashback but less than a main game level. The general flow will be an intro showing where the characters are now and where they stand, a mini-level, and then an outro and the final sex scenes. 

I've tried to make these epilogues pretty different from each other. In some Kobold Joe, Carwyn, and the girls are fabled heroes, roaming the land for those in need. In others, Carwyn has become jaded from losing Gwen and has started a habit of seducing other men's women himself. And in still others Carwyn has lost everything and everyone and fights for his very survival while the women he loves are fucked by his enemies. (Hint, that's the ending the second piece of preview art is for).

Sounds pretty good, right? When is this coming out? Uh... maybe October? I've made a good amount of progress, but the imminent release of At the Mountains of Friendship is still the priority. And then fixing all the problems people have with it will be the next priority. But the epilogues are coming!

And then once the epilogues and the first release of AtMoF are settled, it's Naked Ambition's turn to shine. I haven't done NO work on it, but, uh, it hasn't been a lot.

To be honest, I'm still really nervous about what's going to happen with the AtMoF launch. I'm sure it will go fine, but what if it doesn't? That'd be pretty bad. This is the biggest launch I've done since the Monster Within and I was a wreck during the lead up to that too.

But hey, that's just what making games, or any media really, is like. You have to release stuff to the world at some point and see if they like it. Just do your best and roll the dice. I think the safe bet would have been to just keep making TF Card Battle and Naked Ambition forever, but where's the fun in that? Wild success here we come! Or bankruptcy. I guess I'll just hope for the former.
