7/8 Status Update

Yesterday I released the end of story update for Netoria. The name seems to cause a bit of confusion, because it's not the final update of the game. Maybe I should have called it final level? Kind of implies the same thing. Anyway, it had a few fairly pressing bugs so I'm working on a patch. There's still one I can't quite figure out but hopefully that will be good to be released tomorrow.

Last week I talked about how I'm working with the original artist again. You all seemed to like those sketches a lot, so good news, I have more.

This is for Gwen's erotic dancer class. One small problem is that changing character art based on class isn't actually something you can do very easily in SRPG Studio. Kind of forgot about that. But I already commissioned the art so I'll figure out something.

The next release is going to be for Naked Ambition. That means I'll need to start my new artist search next week. In the past that has been pretty hard but we'll see. I'm a little worried about how small the update is given the long hiatus. This is more of a "Hey, this game is back and being worked on again" update than a grand advancement of the timeline.

But most of my work last week and the rest of the month has and is going to be on At the Mountains of Friendship. Mostly I've been working on all the scenes. The game has a lot of them. It's pretty daunting going through all of them and trying to finish them up, I haven't even started all the sound stuff like assigning music and VN grunts and stuff. I've been treating this almost like a full game release, which probably is a bit silly as it isn't really, but I want it to make a good first impression.

That's all I have to say, but of a short update this week but a big update just came out and I'm doing some bug fixes so that's what I'm focused on mostly. As always, thank you for your continued support.

LOL, yea in hindsight you should probably avoid using words like "Final", "1.0" and "last" when describing an update to a game unless you mean for it to be considered fully completed. Otherwise people are just going to be confused when they see it; a lot of people don't read the development logs after all. You could have called whatever number level it is (I think 7) "7th level completed" or a more descriptive name like " End game boss level completed". Ultimately it's not a big but I would brace yourself for many PMs and questions on the forum with people asking you "Is the game fully completed"? :D And good luck with the artist hunt! I don't envy you!
