5/18 Status Update
Added 2023-05-18 19:42:32 +0000 UTCThis week has been kind of a mess for me. The most unfortunate thing that happened was dealing with a gas leak on Tuesday that made me lose pretty much the whole past two days of productivity dealing with it. So that was pretty annoying, luckily nobody got hurt or anything. Although my water heater died which has been troublesome.
Anyway, this feed isn't about my personal life, except when it impacts game production. I decided to make this weeks post early because on Wednesday I had planned to get the Netoria end of story test build out. But since I couldn't do that I wanted to keep people in the loop. I'm still releasing Futa Oasis .11 tomorrow and the test build shouldn't be delayed long, maybe this weekend. I think I'm out of the woods with house problems, so I should be able to make this only a few days disruption.
After the test build, the update proper should be out this month. I did decide to split the update up with the final level coming later. It just needed more time to really make it satisfying. So maybe I'll call this update chapter 6 and the next mini update the final level update? Something like that since it doesn't actually get to the end of the main story anymore.
The new levels are pretty much done but I haven't tested them much. I know it's called the "test build" but I want to make sure they're at least somewhat functional and balanced before I give them to people. The scenes are getting close to finished too, so there will probably only be a week-ish gap before the update is out to the public. That's just a consequence of the different hurdles this update had to go through.
The epilogue update will probably not be for a few months because I really need to focus writing time on At the Mountains of Friendship. It's closer than I thought it was, but there's a lot that needs to be done. Unfinished writing and teaching the player how the game works are still the two biggest issues.
I also managed to get the game running on Android. So ATMOF should be available on PC, Mac, and Android. This will require more time spent building and compiling than something like a Renpy project but it's not that big a deal. It'll take about an hour for each added version with the compiling and build time, etc. But that's not active time, just me waiting for my computer to do stuff, so it's really only a problem for emergency fixes.

Girl 12, Dogmaggedon, has all her character art done. So now it's onto her scene art. All that will definitely be done before the game is ready to launch. So I'm going to be making a slack girl that will be used to keep the content flow going later while taking a break. And then girl 13 will be the first girl made based of a Patreon vote. I'd like that vote to happen right after the game's launch, which will delay her a little bit, but I think it'll be more satisfying that way. Since right now a good amount of you would be voting without having played the game.
That's all for this week. As always, thank you for your continued support.
