Meet the characters of At the Mountains of Friendship: Emma

Time for character preview two of ten. Although by the time these are done girls eleven and twelve will probably be nearing completion. And as for girls thirteen and on, who knows what they will look like, that depends on what you all vote. But for now let's talk about... Emma!

Emma's aesthetic is punk, and her fetish is abusive lover. I actually had a lot of different descriptions for it before I settled on that. For a long time it was called "unrequited love". Basically, her story is about her newfound lust making her surrender to a wimpy guy. This is one of the stories that was more about me wanting to tell a specific series of events than feature a particular fetish.

She's one of my favorite of the starting girls, confident and cocky, but with a secret submissive streak. Every girl has two pairings with others that have sex scenes, and one of Emma's is the most dominant girl in the cast. So if you like seeing strong woman get dominated, this is your girl.

As girls level up, the continued exposure to your eldritch energy makes them hornier and hornier. This is the driving force in the story to push them towards their sex scenes, but it also changes their appearance. The subconsciously start dressing sluttier, matching their appearence to their more sex-addled minds. Let's take a look at what that looks like for Emma:

Emma's codename was "Loner", so all her abilities are based around her getting buffs when being by herself. At rank 1, she gets bonus EXP when fighting a monster by herself, so she'll level up fast. She also has the highest starting stats of any girl, so right out the gate she'll be kicking monster butt. 

Her abilities at other ranks are things like gaining extra attack, blocking monster attacks, all if she's alone. Her ultimate ability, her rank 5 version, cuts a monster's attack and health in half! So if you've been buffing her up, Emma can take down late game threats all on her own. And when you're facing off against three high level monsters with only five girls, that can be a big help.

But don't forget that "friendship" is in the game's name. Although she does well on her own, pairing Emma up with other girls to boost their relationship can be important. When fighting big bosses you'll want a team that's used to fighting together. 

And that was Emma! Is she going to be a mainstay of your teams? Each girl has their own uses and synergies, but if you don't like one you can get along just fine not picking her. Up next week is a very special girl, a boy!
