1/1 Status Update

Here we are, a whole year come and gone. My 2022 wasn't that bad all things considered, definitely better then 2021. The Monster Within came out of early access, Futa Oasis got it's first public release, and I started the long, wallet consuming grind of making At the Mountains of Friendship.

For January, the big focus is on Netoria Tactics: Revolution. There's still a few things to polish up, but overall things are pretty much in place. I've been working on the next update too, and man is it fun to write a story with actual emotional development of the characters and plot developments. I think that's a big flaw with Futa Oasis's structure is that because so much is randomized it's kind of like a sit com in that things need to stay at a status-quo to make sure events make sense in whatever order you see them. Naked Ambition has a bit of that problem to a smaller extent. Things couldn't really branch off until the final end game crisis, which the game right now stops right before.

But in Netoria, things play out much like a traditional story. There's differences based on who's sleeping with who, but big plot and emotional beats play out regardless. It's also been a lot of fun to write because of the NTR element. A problem I have with writing erotica is that it gets very samey and there's a lack of conflict. After all, the ideal relationship is two people loving each other with minimal arguments and problems. Which makes a for a lack of any kind of drama. NTR has drama built in, writing Carwyn's inner turmoil as he comes to terms with what's going on between him and Gwenivier is much more satisfying, and hopefully it'll read well too.

Futa Oasis just had an update, so work on .11 will start soon. This is the last content update before I rework the card game, put in the endings, and release it on Steam. It's been a fun ride but it's time to start focusing on other things now that the game is fleshed out. Above is a preview of a submissive player scene with Nadiye, where they give a special service to a villager who's come to ask a question. What better way to show what outsider tongues can do then with a hands on demonstration?

Work on ATMOF continues on. This is the climax of Glass Cannon's individual scenes. An orgy just for her to sate her lust, although the other people seem to be having fun too. I've started the process of getting the real UI assets made which will be a huge improvement in presentation when done. Although the game won't launch until May, I want to have it pretty much done by March for patrons. That way when it comes out for everyone the bonus girl pipeline will already be underway. $10 patrons will get girls two months early, and $5 patrons one month early. Everyone who's a patron will get to vote on the polls that determine the characteristics of the new girls. This is the kind of game that really thrives on variety of content, so it should only get better and better as new characters are added.
