12/24 Status Update

I've been getting a lot of questions about when Futa Oasis .10 is coming out for everyone. And that's this Friday as version .10.1 with the five full futa scenes, a dozen new scenes from other characters reacting to player changes, and ten new random events. .11 will be out... well I don't really want to commit to anything. It'll be the last public release of Futa Oasis, and I don't want to put pressure on myself by setting a concrete date, especially when so much of my time is being used by games that are coming out soon.
This week I got Netoria ready for the test build and did a lot of writing for ATMOF. There's a lot more conversations now, I'm trying to get it to the point where every girl has at least one with every other girl and I'm getting pretty close. As is you can get a much better feeling of the general flow of the game. Of course, how many scenes you see is all up to the player. If you want to just play the game and not see any scenes that's totally doable, just don't click the button. And if you want to just watch scenes without bothering with the gameplay, you can use the instant win mode, where losing is basically impossible. If I've learned anything from making pornographic games, it's that lots of people hate actually playing the games. At that point I would just a watch a video or read erotica, but hey, you do you.

I've actually been having a lot of fun writing Netoria and ATMOF, they flow a lot better then stuff like Naked Ambition and Futa Oasis do. Now, a large part of that is probably due to how relatively fresh they are, but I think there's a few other reasons. One is that they are much more straightforward with no randomized content. With Futa Oasis in particular that makes writing scenes a pain. For ATMOF, there's a much wider variety of characters with much less needed for each of them. Since the writing load is mostly going to be new characters, I think it will be more sustainable. And Netoria is a much smaller story, so by the time I get sick of it, the game should be finished.
I've made lots of small scale games before, and they're always a good time to work on, but they don't really bring in any money compared to the big ones that take years to make. We'll see how Netoria Tactics: Revolution does. It's bigger then some of my other side games have been, but it'll still be completed in about half a year from start to finish.
Now, one thing I want to talk about is Naked Ambition. It's really close to coming out of hiatus. I've been thinking about it more and have been talking with people who will be working on the Clothed Ambition conversion. But it's still not quite ready to get back underway. I think once Futa Oasis .10 comes out, and Netoria has it's first release, it'll be time. I really can't be working on both Futa Oasis and Naked Ambition at the same time, that's really what made me pause it. They're too similar, at least in terms of my process in making updates for them. For me to be efficient, I need to be switching off between different kind of work to keep myself fresh and engaged.
