Meet the Characters of Netoria: Owain and Mordrid

I decided to do both of these together because they're fairly similar to each other. Owain and Mordrid are the two other male party members who will try to steal away Gwenivier along with the previously previewed Emrys.

Owain is a pretty "traditional" NTR antagonist. He wins Gwenivier over through pure persistence and sexual skill. He's a thief, a liar, but damn is he a good fuck. In battle Owain has a few things that he can use to his advantage. He has a fancy mastercrafted bow, that he of course purchased completely legitimately,  which has a range of 2-3, giving him the ability to attack every early game enemy from a safe distance. He also has a sword so if an enemy gets in close he still has an option. 

Owain also has the ability to pick locks. In most levels there is at least one locked chest which contains gold. This is the main way you get gold to buy new equipment and rewards for Carwyn to send back to his family on the surface. You can get keys for other characters to open them too, but to do that you need to use bonus XP, which you get from completing levels quickly and opening chests. If Owain opens a chest, he'll steal half the gold for himself and use it to buy random equipment only he can use. 

Overall, if you let Owain do whatever he wants like groping Gwenivier to get the Satisfied status and opening all the chests to get gold to spend on himself, Owain can be really powerful. If you don't however he can be a pretty weak party member. But look at that smile, how can you say no?

Mordid is sociopathic mage with the tendency to break down into creepy laughter.  You first meet him as he's manipulating another group of spelunkers into fighting you as a sick experiment. But as the only magic user your party has access to, he inserts himself into the group against Gwenivier's strong objections. 

So how does he manage to win over her heart, or at least body? Mind control. As opposed to Emrys who romances her and Owain who seduces her through pure sexual prowess, Mordrd uses his magic to force Gwenivier to love him. It's a pretty despicable tactic, but he's a despicable guy.

Mordrid is your party's only magic user, meaning he can use magic tomes and also staves to heal people. Carwyn and Gwenivier can both become magic users too either through transformation or specific class changes, but by default Mordid is your answer to enemies who have high defense but low resistance to magic. He's frail, but has the ability to absorb life energy from his enemies to heal himself, and that's always the mark of a standup, totally not evil guy.
