7/24 Status Update

Pretty slow week, so I don't have very much exciting news. I had hoped to get the first .72 art previews this week, but that art is just barely not quite done. But it should be some good stuff, including some more complex animations this time around.

The Uric stuff in particular will be new and exciting positions. If you're a fan of anal you'll be happy. And if you're not... uh, sorry? That is a bit of a flaw with this game, what sex acts happen isn't under our control. So if you want a bunch of some specific act, there could be a good amount of that in the game, but you could just not play routes that have it.

As for how to fix that, I don't think I really can. The whole game is based off a lack of agency, that's kind of the whole point. Maybe that wasn't the best idea for a porn game, but hey, here we are. And if you didn't like that presumably you wouldn't be reading this. Or maybe the rest of the game appeals to you so much you just overlook that aspect. Hopefully the first one.

My hope is that once the game is finished and  you can do a full playthrough, it will start to make more sense. Things that seem bad, failing some specific check, not pleasing a council member, etc. really aren't. It's all about the journey and the destination. Seeing what different outcome the princess ends up with is half the fun. Will be half the fun. Should be half the fun. Hopefully is fun? We'll see. 

For example, if you go down Gale's path, there are two main outcomes. Well, three if you count losing the end game crisis and having the Princess die. There's an ending with the Princess on the throne, and an ending where she doesn't get the throne. But neither of them are "better" endings, they're just different. Overall what is a good or bad ending is based more on your interpretation and content then anything related to the game play.

And the endings aren't that far off now. .8 should be pretty simple, and then we're straight into the end game crisis and endings. How long that will actually take in dev time is anybody's guess. Probably a while based off ow things are going right now. But it'll happen.
