8/28 Status Update

After almost two years, TF Card Battle is in beta. That doesn't mean I get to stop working on it, but it does mean that the 386 cards currently in the game will be all the cards I make for the near future. I'm fairly happy with where it's ended up, besides a few issues that still bother me.

This month has been pretty frantic, I've released a new game, a TF Card Battle update, started work on Naked Ambition .5, planned a new project, and hired a new artist. It's been a bit much and I would like to slow down, whatever that means To be honest, I make these games because I like making them, so slowing down doesn't mean not making games, since that's what I'd be doing in my free time anyway. So what does that leave for slowing down, what's the stressful part? I would say it's the Patreon, but saying that people giving me money and support is stressful doesn't sound right either.

I'd say it's the deadlines I set at the start of this month. I've followed them closely, although a $10 Naked Ambition build this month seems very unlikely. To be honest, my main goal with getting content done is just that, to get it done. The more gets done, the less there is to do. While Naked Ambition seems like an endless project now, with six more major releases it will be at 1.0 and the story will be complete. But setting a deadline for when those updates are forces me to work at times and for lengths I other wouldn't, which I don't find fun. But on the other hand a lot of you are paying me a not insignificant amount of money. That leads to the other point of stress, trying to provide people, especially the $10 Patrons, value for the money they give me.

So what's the point of this? It's not that I plan to make less content, I've been making more content than I ever have. But I would like to take steps to move away from the Patreon model, and the first step in that process will be the new futa game. Speaking of which...

Here's a piece of concept art for that game. I decided to go with a sort of 1920's theme for the game. The art for the game should be pretty good, so it's just up to me to implement the actual game and story part. Sounds simple, right?

I also have some new Naked Ambition art for you today too.

This one's still a work in progress, but it's the furthest along of the art I've been making and I wanted to show something today. .5 is going to be my main priority from now until I finish it, hopefully next month. That's all for this week, as always thanks for your support.
