TF Card Battle .9 Neutral Themes
Added 2020-02-10 23:39:17 +0000 UTCWith another update to TF Card Battle upcoming, that means the third pack of neutral themes is coming. As before, there's one new one for each of the three TF ranges, low, medium, and high.
The new low theme is Engineer. This theme focuses around a new basic card, the drone. Rather than adding new cards to your deck, buying engineer cards upgrades your drone, which starts in your deck as a replacement to a brainstorm. The theme upgrade for Engineer improves your drone's starting stats.
The new middle theme is Feet. This theme functions as payoffs for building a deck that doesn't draw many cards. It also comes with a rework of the Fun Sized body modifier. Instead of making your starting hand size six, it upgrades all your basic cards while still having the can't draw cards effect. Feet has it's old effect, so with the feet theme bonus you'll start each turn with six cards.
A latex bodysuit? That's impossible, no one's ever been able to complete that! The new Latex theme is a payoff for using all three resources at once. If you buy all four pieces, you'll instantly defeat your opponent and jump straight to the boss. The Forbidden Catsuit itself requires four of each resource to acquire. The theme bonus for Latex cuts down the bosses HP, allowing you to have an easier time there as well.
.9 also includes some changes to existing themes. Hypno has had it's old cards removed, replaced with the effect of Chemistry's cards. But what does that mean for Chemistry? Chemistry now uses a new mechanic, consumables. These are items that last between turns that you can use at any time.
Chemistry's new cards give up a little power for flexibility. If you don't need all the effect this turn, you can save part of it for later. You can have up to three consumables at a time.
