Whistle-blowers must be protected by law. It's as simple as that. I realise governments have no incentive to do so but let us strenuously encourage them draft and pass appropriate legislation - because it's the right thing to do! Hang in there McBride.

I may have broken the law but I did not break my oath to the people of Australia and the soldiers who keep us safe.’ David McBride before entering the court where he was sentenced 68 months prison this morning. Yes. this is a bad day or democracy in Australia but on the other hand, an act of bastardy like this has the potential to become a turning point by the fight that will now take place to free David McBride and protect whistle-blowers. I have followed McBride with his fight for justice and read his book The Nature of Honour. I will say this. David McBride is an Australian that makes you feel proud to be an Australian. unlike the bastards that he has taken on. John Togs Tognolini
