Some interesting backstory about 'Way To Go'.
Korea went through a huge economical crisis back then in around 2008 to 2009, leading the nation’s economic drop. And that was the time when Gee was released and became super popular. If I remember correctly, the song Gee actually contributed around 12%of the economic growth, which helps Korea to get back in track.
Their songs Way to Go and also HaHaHa Song were released to raise hopes for the Korean back in those days. That’s why they especially filmed MVs for these two songs. They even had a variety show called Cheer Up! They did a lot of stage performances for Way to Go as well, and many Korean, even some of them don’t stan snsd, know this song very well. Until now, many Korean people have said that this song has helped them been through a lot. It is a little nation cheer up song among Korea.
In other words, snsd literally saved Korea’s economy. This is also one of the biggest reasons why they are voted to be the Nation’s Girl Group. And once Leetuk and Eunhyuk stated that SNSD couldn’t hurt themselves without permission. Their body is not their own. They are the treasures of the nation,xd.

As for 'PAPARAZZI' The song talks about how paparazzi and media always chase them whatever they're doing and whenever they are (from the lyric 'you're attracted to the flower' and 'awake or asleep' also 'every nights is hide and seek') and the 'boom boom' part sounds like a gunshot while the choreography depicts someone taking picts, it means how their life is always being watched, cornered and threatened by those paparazzi with rumors.
The lyrics is so beautiful and poetic, especially 'a love that's been given a price' means the tremendous love that they've been receiving has prices like being hated, fake rumors, etc.
It's sad and beautiful at the same time, isnt it? the lyric says 'the greater the damage, the more it sells', the more damaged the artist's name bcs of the rumor, the more it sells to people for those paparazzi.
BTW:I know you will like Snsd's Japanese songs. Many Sone thinks their Japanese albums are better and more classic than Korean albums. And of course 'PAPARAZZI' has many classic live versions, including OT8&OT9.Ver.I will request some other ver in the future.
As always,Thanks for your reaction.
