yes, even with JO1 as one of my ult groups, it's great to see how far they've come as a group performance wise. they've always had the potential, but unlike kpop idols, most of them didn't have the luxury of training as trainees for a while before debuting. i guess with time, their effort paid off and the results are now super satisfying as seen in 2023-2024 performances!

2025-01-04 17:41:39 +0000 UTCyou can tell that i'm live commenting as i watch your marathon LOL in safety zone, takumi was the red head and junki was the guy who caught your eyes. you also got ren right (ren had silver hair for years until he got to rest his poor scalp...) safety zone is a b-side track from their first full length album (title track was "shine a light"). this was their 2nd comeback. their debut (mini) album was protostar, with "mugendai (infinity)" as their title track. their 1st comeback title track was "oh-eh-oh" glad that you pointed out how takumi (red hair) had a lot of spotlight moments in safety zone. from 2020-2021, JO1 had a rotating center system. their debut center was #1 from the survival show. takumi was the center for the album that had safety zone. there's no actual order to how the center is picked, lapone (their company) just goes by vibes. but takumi got a lot of heat for being picked as the center for 2 releases when some of the members have never been center (which saddened me to see the hate comments, in both english and japanese, because he was my bias). i won't spoil the members' rankings here, in case you ended up checking out produce 101 japan (or in case you just wanna look the ranking up yourself lol)

2025-01-04 17:18:10 +0000 UTCthe silver/grey haired guy in icy that you said you never noticed before is takumi lol! you would be surprised to know that he had all shades of pink/red from produce 101 japan until shine a light era (their 2nd comeback). takumi can be super versatile with concepts, and is actually most utilized in JO1's "cuter" song

2025-01-04 17:15:51 +0000 UTCTo answer your questions, it was Junki that started the Venus MV & Takumi was the one in Icy with the longish blonde hair that you noticed. The All Hours dance practice was not very polished but I recommended it because Ren did the choreography for it. You made find it interesting that 4 members debuted with no performing experience at all (apart from their experience on the Produce show that formed the group). Sho was a a business graduate, Takumi was a test engineer for all terrain vehicles, Sukai worked part time in demolition & Junki was a political science graduate. Also Keigo was working as a hairdressing apprentice but did have dance experience. Also it was funny watching you trying to match JO1 faces while watching the INI video!
