2021-03-11 18:26:18 +0000 UTC1. So we already know that Fireworks is the SOTY so I won’t say much else other than once again, your reactions are a mood. 😂 2. The Leaders is the song I have been playing nonstop between all the streaming because it’s just that good lol the way all of the members rapped and got showcased in this song is one of my favorite things ever, but Mingi’s verse might just be my favorite part of the whole song. It goes hard and it’s so, so, so good lol 3. The difference between The Leaders and Time of Love is so big I legitimately had to take a second when I first heard cause I’m like “...they’re slaying us with their duality again aren’t they” lmao which is sort of similar to your “k good I needed a break” reaction. 😂 This is such a sweet and feel good song, at first I didn’t vibe with it all that much but honestly now when I need a pick me up I listen to it. ATEEZ’s power I swear. 😂 Hongjoong’s part is my absolute favorite and I agree wholeheartedly about Mingi. I’m so glad he’s on it too. 🥺 also: they actually just released a sort of MV as a thank you to the fans for supporting them with Salary Lupin and it’s equal parts hilarious and endearing lol 4. Mingi’s verse in Take Me Home hits really hard with everything going on right now ngl lol both with his absence and just personally for me so it already has a special place in my song. This song is sooooo good and the bridge is honestly my favorite part because it’s just musical goodness all around. The instrumental is absolutely gorgeous and so is the way they utilized all of their voices. A masterpiece in my opinion lol ALSO: the saxophonist at the end of the song is called Jason Lee and he’s BRILLIANT. 5. Celebrate is still a masterpiece and I’ll just leave it at that cause this is getting too long XD 6. The English version of TMH is just *chef’s kiss* and the lyrics are so emotionally intense? Idk if that’s the right phrase but it’s the best I got right now lol 7. The remix might be my absolute favorite of all the remixes that they have done (which they have done many, their Japanese debut was literally a remix album lmao). The part with the strings and Yunho and Seonghwa just hits different and idk why, but you’re actually right in using minimalism because even though there’s a lot going on with the percussive bass, it’s still just the one instrument other than the voice (compared to say the bridge of TMH which has soooo many different layers musically). Overall, I really do think ATEEZ and Edenary have once again outdone themselves with this album. They continue to impress me with everything they do and I honestly can’t wait to see what they do moving forward (especially with that little teaser they left at the end of the Fireworks MV). And thank you Sean for another amazing reaction! I know you said you were feeling burned out a little while ago so I continue to send all the good and positive vibes your way! 🙏
