Why a Forgotten Visual Novel is the Best Trans Story I've Read (Patreon Cut)

A Dropbox repository with a downloadable copy can be found here!

In 2013, a forgotten studio put out a gender bender VN that was doomed to obscurity... but what if I told you it's not only a masterpiece, but one of the BEST, most heartwarming, and hard hitting trans stories in modern times?

beautiful video!! as a trans hairstylist i especially loved the segment at the end where you talked about how even something as seemly insignificant as a haircut can mean a world of difference to someone and helping people achieve that every day is why i love my job so much. it wasn’t until i watched this video though that i thought about why that aspect of my career might appeal to me personally. thank you for your hard work.

I cried i think this helped me accept myself more even though I’ve already transitioned for a long time. Thank you, my internalized transphobia and my constant anxiety of weather or not the people around me with “find out my lie” thinking it will invalidate my womenhood is something i need to work on for my self and peace of mind.

"I don't know if my videos will change in the light of the political situation" *includes multiple quotes from radical transfeminist literature*

A question for the Q&A: Are there any titles you can recommend for people that like VNs and dark themes but can't stomach non-con at all? I always felt it was a shame that the first of the 3 Ss to get dropped, in order to make something "dark" or "twisted" is consent rather than safety or sanity.

This video was super sweet and talked a lot about stuff that I try to examine about myself a lot as a gay cis guy. I have a lot of trans friends so I end up thinking about gender a lot and how that affects both myself and the people around me. Hearing about a very uplifting trans story during a lot of gross stuff happening in the country next to me and even having a lot of that same rhetoric showing up in Canada felt really nice. It's really easy to focus on the bad and forget that it's okay to be happy, so thanks for that <3

I spy a Remilia Scarlet portrait. So, some questions for the Q&A: How did you come across Touhou? What do you think of it? And what is your favorite character or characters?

Peter Tushar

Honestly really needed this. Thank you so much.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

An incredible video <3 Especially this month, I especially needed this video. Question for you since you mentioned indie games, do you have any fave visual novels on itchio?

TakeASipBabes

I'm so happy to watch another trans-centric video from you! Things are rough right now, but queer art is so important right now. I really wish I could read this one myself- but I don't know ANY katakana, much less kanji and my audio comprehension of Japanese is poor at best ^^' thank you for all your hard work in bringing small, untranslated visual novels to our eyes!

OhMyMies

I feel exactly the same way! Always a delightful surprise!

Ectro

I always forget that these come once a month and every time it surpises me like it's Christmas morning. Thanks for being a beacon of light in these trying times 🙏❤️
