White Album 2: The Greatest Soap Opera of All Time

Patrons can view this video without cuts!

Even over a decade after release, White Album 2's staying power hasn't wavered. Through complicated and flawed characters, forlorn loves, and soap opera drama, it's become decisive, infamous... and one of my favorite VNs of all time.

There's another visual novel series I recommend. It's called Sakusei Byoutou. It's kind of similar to Yakin Byoutou, but with the roles reversed. It's a trilogy that deals with only one linear path that reveals more and more about the characters and why they act the way they do.

Oh, and I forgot to ask, do you have a Discord server by any chance?

Have you ever thought of doing a video on music in visual novels? It'd be interesting to see - such as talking about the history of music in VNs, going back to the early days (such as looking (and listening!) at Soft Studio Wing's Shiro to Kuro no Densetsu trilogy for MSX, which included audio tapes that the games would show visual cues to indicate when to play music tracks from the audio tape, along with their later titles for PC-88, up to and including Mirrors, one of the only two games (the other game being the incredibly rare CD-ROM release of Dios from Zainsoft aka Sein Soft aka Xain Soft - what a company they are! - go look at Macaw's streams of their games; he gives lore on the company) released for the PC-8801MC, which had a CD player), along with how music ties to the story, atmosphere, characters, etc. of a VN. PS: Soft Studio Wing's logo says "FINE STORY & MUSIC" - and I do like the music in their games. PPS: Also regarding Soft Studio Wing, one of their titles, Hadou no Hyouteki: Legend of the Melvel, has a plot that goes pretty gonzo (it involves investigating a cult mass murder and the jungles of Vietnam, for one thing). I watched Macaw play though it, although he called it via a translation of the title: Target Wave. He still hasn't played thru Onryou Senki yet, which is their magnum opus from what I know. Well, that's enough blabbing from me for now.
