Mid-video update - "Wait i'm actually ahead of schedule" edition

Hello all!

It's once again that time for the 'middle of the video' update thingy! Except... the new video is almost done. Oops. Ah well! I also don't have a ton to write in terms of life updates here. The main thing that happened is I went to the VCF Swap Meet, which was a blast. I got to meet cool people into cool old computers, I got a couple cool old computers, and it was just nice to spend time with a really close friend of mine.

And, as always, I wanna take a moment to thank everyone who makes this content possible -- we are now at $1,600, almost $1,200 after fees and taxes! Not only did we reach the goal I thought would be near impossible by end of year ($1,500), but y'all kinda smashed it with a month and a half left to go. I'm continually amazed at the generosity of everyone here, and continually thankful for it. So... thank you all! <3

Still, time marches on, just as the game updates do!

December: Sex 2 is happening, and it's almost done! I think this video goes kind of off the rails and ends up being more about the beauty of even 'meaningless' art, as well as reflecting on my channel as a whole, but there just isn't that much to say about the game. But I don't think it's unfitting as a two year anniversary video, and I hope y'all like it. Expect a Patreon cut to be up either today or tomorrow.

January: I'm pretty much deadset on Teninai being the January video. The current plan is to play WA2 until Dec 9th, then shift gears to playing Teninai and making the video on it, then back to WA2 and hope I can finish it and get a decent chunk of the script done before Jan 9th. If I can't, then, well...

February: ...WA2 gets pushed back to March, and I'll find some other game to play for Feb. I'm stuck between Atlach-Nacha because nee-sama spider yuri, and Suisenka because it seems like a wonderful hell to play. But if all goes to plan, then WA2 will be happening this month.

THE LIST: It hungers! Gimme more stuff to cover! It's actually a pretty good size right now, but I appreciate having more to pull from. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WF_2ADCa5UY63yygiElEyGr35UPCf-jfGivuHAeaiqs/

Aaand that's all for now! If you got questions to ask for this video (which is the two 2 year anniversary!), then please drop them here. Since I'm close to finishing the Patreon cut of the video today, anything asked after the next three hours or so might get left out and answered in text, then in the YT cut of the video. It's the big two year anniversary video for the channel, so I'd love to know what y'all wanna hear!

(UPDATE: I AM FULL OF QUESTIONS. The Patreon segment is eight minutes now between all the various bits, I don't think I can cram more in! Thank you all; I'll answer everything else in the next video, time permitting!!)

See y'all soon! (@^◡^)

Have you ever played, or considered covering, the pre-Key Tactics/Nexton games? There's the ONE remake coming out next month, which I guess makes this somewhat topical, but I'm actually curious as to whether or not games like ONE and MOON. had much impact when they were released. I'm also just, like, a really big fan of MOON. and it's (admittedly kinda edgy to the point of sloppy/silly) take on trauma and cycles of abuse. It's made me more curious about Naoki Hisaiya's creative work, even though he left Key after Kanon.

Do you ever have problems with writer's block/blank page syndrome? If so, what are some ways you deal with it? Congratulations on two years! You're killing it!

I dunno if it's been asked before, but how did you get into the types of vn's you tend to focus on/review for the channel? The subject matter of a lot of them tend to be pretty niche, heavy and dark (among other things) so I'm curious what draws you to them? (I ask as someone who also tends to enjoy similar esque stuff but not at the same intensity of subject matter for lack of a better term xD)
