Mid-video update - The Moving Edition

It's that time again for an update on how things are going - starting with the fact that I'm successfully moved into a larger apartment! I've got my own completely private room now, a separate room for my music studio, and the whole place is just way bigger and more comfy. Hopefully it makes video production a bit easier now since I'll have less distractions, as my work space was always around other people at the old apartment.
Anywho, not too much to add to that besides a thank you to all the Patrons for helping to keep the Patreon around $1,350, even as the issues with the payment system resulted in a larger than normal drop for a while. A serious thank you to everyone who resubscribed and retried billing after that, I was worried when the payout came to notably less than expected - let's hope this sort of thing doesn't happen again. Though if it does, please let me know via Twitter or something if you're a Patreon who got declined and want access to some content while sorting stuff out, I'm happy to send links.
Alright, update time!
Parfait: I've had this on my radar to cover for a while now, and it ended up making the cut as the August video. While I was initially worried I wouldn't have a ton to say, I've ended up absolutely falling in love with the game and found it goes pretty deep in terms of thematics! I've finished playing the title finally and will begin scripting tomorrow, so be on the look out for that.
September's video: Still heavily considering Shizuku, as a way to hop back into the PC-98 mines and cover a super important title. Another possibility is Suisenka, cause I really want to do something a bit off beat after a more normal game like Parfait, but it's hard to say what.
Tsui no Sora: This is less of a guarantee I'll cover this game and more a question. I have not played SubaHibi, I do not intend to play SubaHibi for the channel for a long time due to the time commitment, but I am interested in TnS, which begs a question: would it be interesting to have a video about TnS purely as a standalone work from the 90s, or should it be part of some larger series on KeroQ?

Shizuku would be very cool. It's been on my list for a long-ass while, and a motivator to learn Japanese. Seeing you cover it would give a lot of insight. And with the list...Drakengard on Suisenka, huh.

After following someone's playthrough of the game and having just started Kizuato this week, I'd love to see your thoughts on Shizuku, esp as you haven't covered any 90s eroge in a hot minute (and those CRUNCHY graphics with that wonderful soundtrack are just amazing ^-^). Suisenka also sounds ... fun? Interesting? Idk. I know nothing about it and there seems to be zero info for it on the en-speaking net outside of vndb, but the EGS reviews have made me pretty curious. Also, it's my impression that TnS might be better off in the context of a wider SubaHibi(+KeroQ(+Makura?)) project, even if that ends up multi-parted - although that just feels like a daunting task just thinking about it.

2023-08-08 08:02:11 +0000 UTCi don't think you can really talk about tns without mentioning subahibi at least in some capacity, i would focus the video on tns but maybe mention it's relationship with subahibi. maybe when you get around to subahibi you can have a section drawing comparisons between the two?

I have a PB1400c, so I could play the originals, but I'm unsure if the Aleph One ports add quality-of-life features I'd miss when playing the original releases.

There is a lot of info about SubaHibi and even about that hideous Tsui no Sora OVA adaptation. However, you canβt find almost nothing in English about the game itself :(
