Mid-video update (August edition)

Hello hello again everyone! It's the time of the month for the update between the last and next videos, except I'm a bit late because I've been doing a ton of writing, editing, and tidying up music jobs. Gomennasai.... (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ

Before I actually get to them though, we have ALMOST hit $100 on the Patreon!! Actually... including monthly subs on Ko-Fi, we *HAVE* hit $100 a month! Thank you so much everyone, that money is just an absolutely massive help for keeping me housed and fed every month, especially as music work winds down.

Okay, update time!

Rance series & AliceSoft: Finished Toushin Toshi, Rance 1, 01, 02, and now playing 03. I've been hacking away at the 01/02 script and have about 7,000 words written, not even close to half way done.  Current plan is to make a video on Toushin Toshi I & II to talk a bit about AliceSoft as a company and introduce the Rance universe with some less aversive media, because as much as I think the Rance games are VERY interesting with how they subvert tropes and handle their objectionable content... shit's still rough, and I want people to be familiar with their ability to craft interesting and meaningful stories without jumping right in to the hard stuff.

When these videos will come out... uh, soon, hopefully. Problem is that I absolutely do not want to make mistakes with how I address things in this video, so I'm doing plenty of research, consulting people, and playing through a massive chunk of the series before even saying anything about them. In the mean time, I'll be doing shorter videos, such as...

Possessioner: Script is done and editing is about a quarter done! I've been taking the editing on this kind of slow as I work on playing and writing about Rance simultaneously but intend to pick up the pace shortly and get it done soon as I can. It's about half an hour long.

PC-98 magical girl games: Intended to be another short little episode covering Kagayake! Kirakira Senshi Risky, Mahou Shoujo B-Ko, and maybe a third game. These games are pretty tiny far as I know and have some neat stuff in them (the former is by Natsume and the latter has yuri!), so they'll make a fun diversion until I can get that Toushin Toshi video out.

???: Though if necessary, I might need another video acting as a buffer between the magical girl games and Toushin Toshi. I'd hope I could play the games quicker than that, though, I kinda blew through Rance 01 and 02 and Toushin Toshi. If you have any suggestions for PC-98 games you'd love to see cover, please let me know!
