My Roomie's ONS Ended Up in My Room - Part 8

Everyone in this story is 18+

Heather and Noah sat in their cramped but cozy living room. The sparse furniture—a sagging couch, an old coffee table—made the space feel lived-in but tight. The faint scent of Heather’s sandalwood incense filled the air, blending with the warm sunlight seeping through the window.

“You should really ask him to hang out, Nomo. You've been miserable ever since last weekend. I gave you his Snapchat, did you at least add him?” Heather asked, lounging casually on the couch, her eyes watching him carefully.

“No, not yet. What if he regrets what happened? It was so sudden and unexpected. Maybe he’s over it,” Noah mumbled, fiddling with a loose thread on the couch.

“No one regrets hooking up with you, especially when you give them your virginity,” Heather teased with a knowing grin.

“I don’t know. Maybe it’s for the best,” Noah sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Now that the virginity thing is out of the equation, maybe I can just finally get more out there without that weight on my shoulders of being the only gay virgin around.”

Heather leaned forward, her tone softening. “I’m all for you getting out there more, but from what you told me, what happened that night seemed really special. These things don’t happen every day. Trust me, I would know.”

Noah stayed quiet, staring blankly into the air.

“Well, anyway,” Heather said, perking up. “What about throwing a party? Girls, cute guys—come on, it’ll be fun.”

Noah sighed. “A party? Right now? I’m still... processing things. And besides, I don't think I'm ready to face Mason yet."

"So we don’t invite him," Heather interrupted, crossing her arms. "Look, you’re overthinking this, as usual. Either you invite him, or you don’t, and at least you'll have a fun night. Either way, you win." She shot him a playful yet reassuring smile, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

He hesitated, then gave a small smile. “You’re really not going to let this go, are you?”

“Nope,” she grinned. “And trust me—you’ll thank me later.”

Finally, Noah shook his head, a reluctant smile tugging at his lips. “Fine. Let’s do it. But you’re in charge of everything.”

Heather squealed and hugged him tightly. “Yes! I knew you’d come around. It’s going to be epic, I promise.”

The living room buzzed with energy as the party kicked into full swing. Laughter and music reverberated off the walls. Colorful lights danced across the room, casting playful shadows on the faces of the guests.

Heather was perched on C.J.'s lap, her laughter ringing out as she flirted with him, a playful glint in her eye. She leaned in closer, whispering something in his ear that made him chuckle, his hands resting comfortably on her waist. The two of them were the picture of flirtation, lost in their own world amidst the chaos.

Meanwhile, Noah sat on the couch, drink in hand, his mind a whirlwind of uncertainty. He glanced around the room, watching couples and groups mingle. In the midst of the festive atmosphere, he couldn’t shake the nagging thought of whether or not to add Mason on Snapchat. His heart raced at the idea, but doubt crept in—what if Mason regretted their encounter?

As he pondered, Caden, one of Heather’s other gay friends, plopped down beside him on the couch. With a cheeky grin, he leaned in slightly, arms crossed casually. “I haven’t seen you on Grindr. Are you on there?”

Noah shook his head, chuckling awkwardly. “No, not really my scene.”

Caden raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile spreading across his face. “Really? You’re missing out! It’s the best way to meet people. Trust me, it can be... entertaining.”

Noah shrugged, feeling the warmth of the party and the pressure to be more adventurous. “I don’t know; I guess I just haven’t found the right vibe yet.”

Caden smirked, sensing his hesitation. “Well, if you ever decide to dive in, let me know. I can give you some tips. Just don’t be too shy about it!”

Noah nodded, a bit more at ease, though still feeling the weight of his indecision. “Maybe I’ll think about it,” he replied, his mind still swirling with thoughts of taking that leap into the unknown.

Noah and Caden continued their conversation, the sounds of the party fading into the background.

“So, what have you been up to lately?” Caden asked, his tone genuine as he leaned in slightly.

“Honestly? Just trying to figure things out,” Noah admitted, taking a sip of his drink to buy himself a moment. “It’s been a weird week.” He gestured vaguely.

Caden nodded, his expression warm. “Don’t beat yourself up. We all have those weeks where things just feel... off.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right,” Noah replied, feeling a little more optimistic. “I’ve just been feeling so out of place lately. It’s hard to shake that feeling.”

“Trust me, everyone feels that way sometimes. Caden reassured him. “It can be overwhelming, but you’re not alone. Just take it one step at a time. And if you need a wingman or something else. I’m here.”

Noah smiled, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. “Thanks, that really means a lot. I always thought you were kind of—how do I say this?—distant? But you’re actually pretty cool.”

Caden chuckled, a hint of surprise in his brown eyes. “I get that a lot. Sometimes I come off as a bit standoffish, but I promise I’m not that bad. I guess I’ve had my walls up, too. It’s just a protective thing. Being gay can be tough, right? You never know how people will react, so it’s easier to keep things light and casual.”

Noah nodded, “I totally understand. I’ve definitely felt the need to shield myself. It’s hard to let your guard down when you’re worried about how others will perceive you.”

“Exactly,” Caden said, his gaze thoughtful. “Sometimes you miss out on real connections because you’re so focused on protecting yourself. I’ve been working on that—trying to be more open and not let fear dictate my interactions.”

“Maybe we can help each other out,” Noah suggested, a hopeful smile creeping onto his face. “I mean, it sounds like we’re both trying to figure this whole thing out.”

“Definitely,” Caden agreed, his smile brightening. “Let’s support each other. Who knows? We might just end up being great friends.”

Noah saw Caden in a different light. He noticed how handsome Caden was, a bit cute with his charming dimples, while his dark caramel skin glowed under the party lights. Noah couldn’t help but feel a small flutter of excitement.

As they giggled and took a few licorice shots that Caden had brought, Heather leaned in closer, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. “Come on, Nomo! Live a little!” she urged, nudging him playfully. The lively atmosphere buzzed around them, with music thumping and laughter echoing through the apartment, igniting a spark of excitement in Noah.

Caden chuckled as he downed his shot. “You know, this is just the beginning, right?” he said, his black curly hair framing his handsome face, with a sprinkle of freckles across his nose. Noah felt a flutter in his chest, realizing he was enjoying this connection more than he’d anticipated.

“Yeah? What else do you have in mind?” Noah asked, trying to keep his tone light, but he couldn't shake the thrill that coursed through him.

Caden leaned in slightly, “Let’s see where the night takes us! Maybe we could dance?” he grinned, his dimples deepening as he smiled.

Noah laughed, the sound bubbling up with unexpected ease. “You dance too?” Now I’m intrigued.”

Feeling bold, Caden grinned and stood up, extending his hand to Noah. “Come on, let’s hit the dance floor! It’s not a party until you shake your groove thing.”

Noah hesitated for just a moment, then took Caden’s hand, feeling the warmth between them. Together, they navigated through the crowd, and Noah couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement building inside him. the vibrant music pulsed around them, a rhythmic thump that resonated in their chests and mingled with the laughter of friends.

As they danced, Noah found himself getting lost in the moment, the worries of the past week melting away. Caden moved effortlessly beside him, his laughter ringing in Noah’s ears like music. Noah couldn’t help but notice how Caden’s black curly hair bounced with every move, adding to his charm. For the first time in a while, Noah felt free.

After a few exhilarating songs, Caden leaned in close to Noah's ear. “I have to pee. Want to keep me company?” Noah nodded, feeling a flutter of excitement. Caden then flashed a cheeky smile. “How about we do a shot before we go?”

“Sure, why not?” Noah replied, a grin spreading across his face as he reached for the bottle.

As Caden poured the shots, he glanced at Noah with an earnest expression. “You know, I didn’t expect to enjoy tonight this much. You’ve got a good vibe, Noah!”

Noah felt a rush of warmth from both the shot, the taste of anise, and the compliment. “Thanks, Caden. I was worried I’d just be awkward all night.”

They squeezed through the thrumming mass of dancers, laughter and music fading as they ducked into the bathroom for a moment of reprieve.

Caden chuckled, taking a sip before leaning against the sink casually. “Awkward is overrated. Besides, we’re all a little weird in our own way, right?”

Noah met Caden’s gaze, feeling something between them. The laughter and music faded into the background, leaving only the soft hum of their shared moment. As Caden leaned in slightly, , and they shared a brief pause, their lips nearly touching.

“Maybe we should embrace our weirdness more often,” Noah whispered, his breath mingling with Caden’s, Noah's heart racing in the silence before they lean in closer

Suddenly both of them jumped, *RIIING, cutting through the moment.

Noah exchanged a glance with Caden, the lighthearted mood shifting slightly. “I wonder who that could be,” Noah mused, a hint of anxiety creeping into his voice.

“Let’s go check it out,” Caden suggested, stepping out of the bathroom and taking Noah’s hand as they made their way to the front door.

When Noah opened the door, he saw a striking figure standing on the threshold. Tall, athletic, and handsome, the sight made Noah's heart plummet, a sinking weight forming in his chest as dread coiled around him.

“Hey, Heather invited me,” Mason said, glancing between Noah and Caden.

Comments

Blake, I’m so mad at you. I instantly hated Caden and I want to shove him off the balcony. If they don’t have one, I want to push him out the window! There is only one guy for him, Mason.
