The Ghostfish: Monster of the Month REWARDS for June 2019

Hi guys! Today, I have ALL the rewards for the Monster of the Month tier: a Hi-res Wallpaper, a Brush Set, and a Process Guide for The Ghostfish! Thank you everyone for your help in choosing him! He was such a fun monster to work on!

For the Process Guide: I painted the colors in Adobe Photoshop primarily using semi-transparent brushes and working on a single normal layer. This is a little out of the ordinary for me as I usually work on hundreds and layers in several different modes, but I felt this was the best way to achieve the ghostly effect I was after. Because of this, there is no GIF animatic this month, and instead I've gone with a process guide to show how the character progressed. For those of you in the Tutorial tier, I will be doing a detailed guide on this monster, and painting ghostly figures in general coming soon!

For the Brush Set: All of the brushes were useful in creating this month's monster, but I ended up using the Gossamer Mixer brush and the Murky Blender brush the most for really capturing the ghostly effect in the fins and trailing moss. Most of the other brushes were used early on in a normal layer to achieve a smoky watercolor look (see the "semi-transparent brushwork" section shown in the Process Guide).
