I Can See Parameters In A Rom-Com World! Chapter 30: Decision

Kaoru changed, at least the way she treats Junichi. Love can really change people, changing your personality was supposed to be the hardest thing to do, but because of love, even a bastard can change into a nice guy for the girl he loves.

Only that person who is truly in love could change themselves to the person they adore, to the person they want to spend their life with.

At present, Junichi, Kaoru, and Umehara are currently in the cafeteria to buy food, usually, only 1 or 2 of them will go to the cafeteria to buy lunch, but today was a rare moment of the trio going together.

But they had some reasons why Umehara wanted to meet his crush here, he might score to talk with her, as for Junichi he was just in need of lunch and also he might meet one or two of his target here, and lastly Kaoru she just wanted to hang out with Junichi, forget Umehara she doesn’t really care what he wants to do.

A few minutes later, unfortunately, Umehara couldn’t see his crush, while Junichi did see one of his targets but he couldn’t find the right timing to strike a conversation, but she was busy talking with some friends, that target was Ai.

“I suppose, it’s not the right time for me to make an impression,” Junichi mumbled.

“Impression in what?” Kaoru suddenly spoke.

Then he shifted his gaze toward her and thought. ‘Forget about striking a conversation with her, I should do something about Kaoru.’

“Nothing, by the way, what's the point of following me to the cafeteria without buying yourself food?”

“There’s a point and that’s talking to you.” Kaoru directly said her intentions without hiding them.

“Oh..” Junichi didn’t know what to answer, he never expected a girl in love would be this troublesome.

The last subject just ended, Kaoru approached him and said. “I’ll be going first, I just added a few more hours in my shift, I’ll meet you later at work.”

Without waiting for his reply, she already left. Junichi couldn’t say that he wanted to quit, he already decided to, because it would consume all of his time if he did the part-time job, 2 hours of club activity, 3 hours of a part-time job, and 2 hours of training in the gym.

It was draining, he won’t have time for writing if he includes his part-time job for his schedule, since the last subject ends at 2 PM, club activities at 4 PM, part-time at 7 PM, gym ends at 9 PM.

If he quit, he would have that extra 3 hours for writing daily. It's the wisest decision so far, he has to quit today.

Junichi went directly toward the swimming after Kaoru left him alone in the classroom, he was kind of expecting what kind of face Hibiki would be making after seeing him, because there is no way she could avoid him in the club since she’s the captain of the swimming team.

She was avoiding him, he was sure of it or else she would have come to the cafeteria a few hours ago, there is no way she would have skipped lunch if it wasn’t for him.

Junichi arrived at the swimming club, as he went inside he saw the girls warming up, he approached them and said. “I’m not late right?”

He said jokingly, then the girls chuckled and replied.

“Of course not, you're even earlier than the rest!”

“That’s right, Shi-can, Rin-chan, and Mii-san aren't here yet.”

“Oh? Isn’t this the first time that I’m not the last one to arrive?” Junichi was always the last one to arrive in their club.

One of the girls said. “Now that you mentioned it, you're right!”

“Anyway, aside from that, where's Tsukihara senpai?”

“Oh, she’s in the locker room, she’s changing clothes right now.”

“I see, thank you.” 

Junichi suddenly took off his clothes in front of the girls. When he was about to take off his jeans, the girls screamed.

“Kyaaah! What are you doing?!”

“If you want to change to somewhere else! Not in front of us!”

“That’s right!”

Junichi didn’t listen and continued taking it off, and finally, when he took his jeans off, there were swimming trunks beneath, then he stared at the girls with a disappointed expression.

“You guys are overreacting, what a bunch of dirty-minded girls! Go jack off somewhere!” 

Hearing him say that, they became embarrassed, but to cover their mistakes they spout random bullshits, not as he cared though, he ignored them and started warming up, the only girl in the club that didn’t join the girl's debate toward him is Ai.

To begin with, she never listen nor cared about what he said, she was just doing warm up a few meters away from the rest, unlike the others who joined the swimming club for fun, she was one of the serious ones, she wanted their school to be part of Olympics, that’s all she wanted.

Lately, she began to take interest in the newcomer. He was the only male in the club, she had personally seen his improvement ever since he started. His adaptability is amazing, every day he would break his time record, in the history of swimming, he’s probably the only one who could break his record daily.

Ai thought. ‘With him here, we could probably join the Olympics…’

Hibiki finally came out of the locker, she paused her movement when she saw Junichi, lately whether she thought of him, her heart would beat faster than normal, she wasn’t dense, she just refuses to acknowledge it.

She took a deep breath, forcing herself to look as calm as possible. She wouldn't allow Junichi to see her getting affected by him.

“That’s enough of warming up, it’s time to start swimming.”

“Haii~” All the girls exclaimed.

Then she looked at Junichi who was smiling at her, she said. “What are you smiling at?”

“Nothing, I thought you’d be embarrassed to see me or something.”

“What are you talking about? Why would I? Anyway, get ready.” While her face was calm, inside her mind was a mess, she was thinking. ‘D-did I miss up? Is my face calm right now? I hope he doesn’t notice..ugh…..date...my first date...ah why am I thinking about it?!

“Alright, senpai~!” Junichi smiled after he turned around. Just now he read her thoughts, she was really cute for suppressing her feelings.
