Chapter 43 : Meru Is Jealous? (Edited)

Both of them were pointing fingers at each other, this meeting was absolutely out of Kyle's expectations, he didn't think he'd encounter Meru here, coincidences like this one don't happen often.


The woman accompanying Meru asked Meru quizzically. "Someone you know?"


"Yeah! He's a fellow classmate." Meru nodded.


"I see." 


While they were talking, Kyle observed said woman and for some reason he found her weird, why, you ask? The reason was clear, while talking she was actively avoiding him, like she was forcibly talking in an angle in which she wouldn't need to look at him. He didn't know why but the woman seemed to have an aversion towards him, on careful scrutiny he found out she was trying to avoid looking at men in general.


Because of this unique trait, Kyle was instantly aware of the woman's identity, it all clicked, she was none other than the one dubbed to be the strongest Ryū of existence, the alumni student of Nango-Kuren High School, Ren also known as , The Billowing Dragon.


She had a tall figure with grey hair tied in twin pigtails, her eyes were a deep emerald green, she was wearing a mini skirt along with a sleeveless shirt tucked inside her skirt, she had generous breasts C Cups at the very least along with an alluring figure. She had a tie wrapped around her left thigh (the said tie was given to Meru). She also often equipped her custom made sword as her main weapon.


Ren had a nasty habit of changing her clothes during battle whenever her clothes were torn (even with the smallest tear). Despite her strong integrity as well as toughness, Ren had troubles with men due to her assumptions that men were perverse beings (she claims that all men are actively trying to flirt with her, which she considered to be vulgar). As a result, she cannot even speak to boys face-to-face and turns away from them, this aversion was slowly turning into a misandry towards all men, this was one of the reasons Meru was worried about her, but Ren was unaware of her concerns.


That was the basic info he had on her. Knowing this he didn't mind her behavior. After the slight conversation between the arriving girls finished they sat down on the empty chairs opposite of Kyle and Tohru. 


"But, Kyle what a coincidence! I didn't think that I'd meet you here, and I didn't forget what you did yesterday, how dare you escape!" Meru spoke with a pout, her tone of mock anger showed that she wasn't angry with him.


"Hey, I have my reasons, I can't entertain both of you, it's troublesome and annoying… also your partner seems to not like my presence?" He glanced at Rin who was looking somewhere else, she remained silent throughout, as if uncaring of what he may thought of her.


"Oh! Ahahaha this is Ren. She's actually a former student of our school, right now she's in college and don't worry she has her reasons for doing that, she definitely doesn't hate you or your presence, I can assure you!" She explained with a smile, reassuring him.


"Is that so? Seems Sus." Kyle joked a bit; though he knew about the reason for Ren's behavior he still decided to ask, this way he won't look suspicious. He was about to make some short talks with them but a bone chilling voice interrupted him, making him shiver in fright, even though the chill wasn't directed towards him.


"Kyle… you two seem to be close huh? Would you mind introducing her to me?" The dragon maid muttered with a smile, a smile that wasn't really a smile as the frost I'm her tone and expression made it clear that depending on the answer a world of pain was waiting for the one who earns her ire.


'Oh shoot, I almost forgot about her in my initial bewilderment at meeting Meru here.' He faked a cough to get his bearings right and pondered how best to introduce them to each other. "Ahem-! So, Tohru let me introduce Meru to you, she's a fellow student of my school, she's in the same year as me just in different classrooms, and she's probably my friend?"


Meru slammed the table in anger, said table trembling as if it were going to break any moment, she exclaimed in a wronged tone. "What do you mean by probably your friend?! I thought we were friends all along!"


She complained vehemently; to Meru they were already friends from the day they met in front of the supermarket, so it was justifiable for her to get angered. Kyle however completely ignored her and proceeded to introduce the girls. "And Meru this is Tohru, she's currently living with me."


This time, Meru overacted and screamed. "HAAAAHHHHH?!!"


Her scream gathered the unwanted attention of many, she quickly apologized in an embarrassed expression, after that she looked at Kyle with an angry expression, she blamed him for this.


Kyle naturally gets this, and thinks. 'Why is it my fault?! It's clearly yours.' after a moment of silence, Meru asked in a noticeable shaking tone. "You..two are living together...alone?"


He shook his head, and replied. "Nope, of course not why would you even think of something like that? We're living with my aunt and little sister."


Hearing this, she felt relieved but then she realized her action, she was confused. Meru thought. 'Why did I feel suddenly relieved? No forget it, why are they going together alone in an amusement park? No way! Could it be…' 


She wanted to ask a question, however she was afraid at the same time, she was hesitant….she gritted her teeth and asked anyway. "You two...are you going out?"


Surprised by this unexpected question, he didn't think that she would ask something like this, he thought. Suddenly asking a question about my relationship with Tohru? Isn't too...no that's impossible.'


He was suspicious about this, however there is no way to confirm, he still has to observe before confirming, he glanced at Meru for a moment and replied. "If you're talking about going out as a couple, no we aren't."


As he said that, Meru was relieved once again, while Tohru who was listening to their conversation was disappointed, she stared at Meru in hate, she thought. 'This damn human!'


Meru felt like she was being stared by a giant predator that could swallow her entire being, she felt chills like she never did in her entire life, this was first time she felt something like this, if she were a normal girl she would definitely started to tremble right now, but fortunately she wasn't, her willpower wasn't something a normal human has.


She looked at Tohru who was glaring at her with hate, then she realized that this predator-like aura was coming from this impossibly beautiful woman, she thought Tohru as a dangerous and very strong existence but she wasn't known for backing down.


Both of the girls were having a staring contest. Tohru was a little surprised by this after all not everyone could withstand her intent like the way Meru did, for a human she wasn't bad but it doesn't change the fact that she hates her.


Noticing the atmosphere between them, Kyle knew that he had to do something because something would eventually happen to Meru, he added. "Though we're not going out, however we are currently having a date today in the park."


Almost instantly, the scary predator-like presence disappeared like it didn't exist in the first place, as soon as it disappeared Meru was sucking greedily for air, she almost fainted at the moment.


Tohru on the other hand was blushing, she was very happy that he said that they were on a date, it might not be special to anyone but to her it's precious.


Because she was in a great mood, she let Meru off for now, seeing this Kyle sigh and thought. 'This is rather a dangerous situation for Meru...but I guess I expected that it's already a miracle that Tohru didn't kill her, I should try my best so that at least Tohru could accept Meru and Ren.'


Ren noticed that there was something wrong with her friend, she temporarily forgot her dissatisfaction on mens like Kyle and worriedly asked Meru if she's alright.


The atmosphere was very weird at this moment, and Kyle thought that he should do something. "So, girls what do you want to eat? My treat."
