But just as she was tuning her voice and getting ready to sing, she squealed instead as she felt two tongues on her feet. She always went barefoot in her room, but now that choice was a mistake as her feet were vulnerable to whatever was licking them and making her laugh. At the very least, her voice will still be practicing some high notes.
