Very quick update
Added 2024-11-11 14:56:08 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
Just a quick check-in to keep up with the biweekly updates - a more detailed post is coming in a couple of days, but I figured a brief note now might be helpful.
Wrapping up the remaster has been a huge, intense effort, with more late nights than I’d like to admit. Beyond the art, I’m also excited about how the script is shaping up, especially in the later scenes - it’s feeling stronger and more cohesive.
Unfortunately, I'll be traveling again in a few days for work, which means no dev time for about a week. But rest assured, I’ll post that more detailed update before I leave.
More news soon!

Also I personally read this game the same way as you when I started playing it. To me it feels like an entry into NTS games if that makes sense or if it even exist a pure NTS. Their relationship from what Ive read feels so unbreakable (Ayumi and Kento constantly affirm themselves that theyre satisfied with each other and dont need more), that Im curious how Tori plans to develop Terrace and Ari. Thats kind of been whats been holding me up from fully committing since unless this story completely or majority focuses on Kento and Ayumi, I assume Terrace and Ari will get lots of development with the couple and who knows what thatll lead to. Its kept me engaged but also fearful. Not for NTR, but just inexperience with NTS and how to classify "development". Like does development mean changing the dynamics of the main couple usually or enhancing the couple or basically what is it leading to? Anyway I digress, try it.

2024-11-14 16:00:59 +0000 UTCI'd play it just to get a foundation of the game and what you can expect especially since the remaster is a ways out. In my personal opinion, me playing the beginning actually got me hooked with how Tori wrote Ayumi and MC. Idk if this is just a common thing with writers of NTS (this is my first one) but the way Tori writes the loving relationship of MC and Ayumi kept me hooked and made the scenes more enjoyable for me (and in turn helps me stay excited for the remaster). Plus Ayumi's scenes are a little on the light side right now, but I still find myself replaying because of her and how hard she goes with the teasing. I just couldnt get enough of her. If I hadn't played it and just heard opinions / waited on remaster, my excitement wouldve fizzled out with other games or I'd be put off by the wait and opinions of other people. I don't think it's a bad idea to play it since yeah the remaster could change things and look better to you, but the main game still kind of gives you an idea of how Tori writes things and it helped me personally stay engaged.

2024-11-14 15:49:49 +0000 UTCThe remastered version shouldn't be far away, but if you're looking forward to it, you can play the current version first. The remastered version mainly adds changes to details and graphics, but which one is better between the new and old versions is up to you. So you can play the current version first, so you'll know what changes the game has made after the remastered version is released (since the remastered version hasn't been released yet, if you have time, it's better to wait and play first)

2024-11-12 04:55:58 +0000 UTCAlso, I hope I'm not coming off as rude. I'm not trying to say "give me update faster!" I'm genuinely just asking if I should wait or not. The fact you have a day job and do this honestly sounds exhausting. I'm not trying to demand an update or anything so don't let my comment stress you out.

2024-11-11 17:05:08 +0000 UTCI have to ask, should I just play the game now or wait for the 'remaster'? I joined here on a whim because the game seemed like exactly what I'm looking for for. It looks like a slow burn NTS where the GF genuinely loves the MC but has a wild side that opens into teasing and sharing. I could be reading it wrong, again I haven't played it, as many NTS start off that way but quickly devolve into harder NTR and straight up humiliation of the MC. I really want to play the game but the remaster seems objectively better, if not in art(which is subjective) at least with the under the hood systems. But the updates I've read don't inspire confidence that it's coming out anytime soon, I would guess not by the end of the year at any rate. All that said, I'm also extremely forgetful, I've put off playing games before, only to forget about them and 'rediscover' them months or even years later. So all that nonsense done, should I just play the old version now so I can stand a better chance at remembering the game when the remaster does eventually come out and to even see if the game is going on the direction I'm hoping it goes in? Or do I wait for the new version, in however many months that will be, and just hope that I somehow remember to check in on it every couple months?
