2025-12-21 19:14:58 +0000 UTCI don't comment here often, but with both this year and the "Robbie (mostly) left to his own devices" plotline coming to a close, I feel it is a good time to reflect how great the last couple months of updates have been. I think the stylistic choices throughout that worked really well to further illuminate Robbie's character: We spent great attention to detail on his work, because that mirrors his work ethic. There is a recurring theme of retelling awkward conversations in hindsight, making light of it or focusing on the silver lining instead of dwelling on the bad stuff, which reinforces him being an optimist. We see him interact with friends, co-workers and strangers, where he is friendly and funny by default. Beyond that is also his caring and protective side. He also does not take shit from anybody, but does not get rude himself. We also see him completely devoted to his girlfriends, being unfazed by temptation, making sure to spread his attention. And only after making sure he is not hurting any of his girlfriends' feeling is he going to indulge with others. Some of this is made explicit in dialogue, inner monologue or self-reflection, however the majority of this is done or reinforced through great "show, don't tell" writing. The difference between the scenes with the bachelorette party and Sienna is a prime example of this: The scenes with Blake and Brittney are all about the sex, both because Robbie does not half-ass anything, but also it ultimately is nothing more than sex. With Sienna however, the immediate emotional connection is front and center and is way more important than any play-by-play highlight reel. I don't know just how much of this is planning, good intuition or just happy accidents, but some amount of planning is pretty obvious. From the "There are two 'Full Robbie' specials" paragraph in the last of the November updates foreshadowing the bachelorette party and Sienna scenes this month, to both Ash and Robbie commenting how promoters (especially the good ones) quickly move on to better/more stable jobs (in chapter 412, all the way back in June, if I looked that up correctly) as a setup for her replacing Tan, there are lots of small hints to be found on repeat reads of the earlier chapters. But the story also keeps surprising me, with big plot twists like Vivian as another AMA user coming out of left field. With all that said, I am also happy that Cassidy and Terra (and Sienna!) are now back home. I do agree with other commenters in general, that "harem bloat" can be a problem. But I also interpret Becca's, Wanda's, Dayana's and Robbie's own words, that Robbie's extra-curriculars will take a back seat. Which would leave a good mix of the core "Orgylationship", including Dayana and possibly Sienna and Vanessa, and all the life hurdles that need to be solved to make it work long term. I am looking forward to the next couple of updates already! Final note: I particularly enjoyed the banter between Robbie and Antoinette. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters!

And I get having the make trade offs to fit your release schedule. It's like when an action show has a fight that you know was absolutely kick ass, but it happened off screen. Logically, you know it probably had to be off screen for a variety of reasons, but dammit you really wanted to see it.

2025-12-20 21:02:11 +0000 UTCMy initial reaction is to agree with the people who are saying that Sienna and Robbie's first time feels glossed over. But she's not actually a part of the group yet, and maybe you want to save the long form scene with her for that if it happens. I wish we had gotten a long form scene with Cattie and Cassie before she left to go home. get that writing a bunch of sex scenes back to back is repetitive, and you've got to juggle it among a bunch of different stories. Maybe when you're feeling it, you could go back and fill in the pieces for the important/interesting stuff. Actually, it's not just here, either. I also felt like Shane and Tori kind of got glossed over in the last dirty 20s update. EDIT: I edited the first couple of sentences of my post because I was unhappy with the tone I presented.

Robbie needs to deal with his jealousy, possessive thoughts and insecurities first and then make the relationships more equitable - at least some of them before it’s actual poly. Harem is truly more appropriate here.

And critical for context, as you fleshed it all out with everyone. But i do, truly love where its going a d gone in part 2. Of girl still my close fave, with qtnw a very close second. But ama is right there with them both. Thank you for all of it.

Dayana has been keeping her distance from the other girls, presumably because she's in love with Cassie too and wants to resolve that potential conflict first, and the bridesmaids have been more passive and developing their feelings for Robbie through sex without engaging in his life. But Sienna has been reaching out to Cassie with videos and phone calls, learning about all the girls, and now joining in on moving Terra in as if she was already one of them. She's dead set against getting left out in the cold, and she's probably right to worry about it given that Becca is now actively guarding against Robbie adding more people to the relationship. We'll see if Vanessa manages to slip in; that plot thread has barely even started, although she does at least have the advantage of past history.
