This is fair! I've visited Provo and technically BYU before, but didn't spend any real amount of time there. I'm writing this generally assuming that there are plenty of Mormon college-aged folks who say one thing, but do another, and non-Mormon folks who do just enough to get by.

Shared conflict is such a powerful way to reinforce characters' relationship, and the themes the tackled can help the story's momentum a lot as Jerry becomes more confident, powerful and in tune with his harem. The prior chapter, while not as sexy as most, also did a lot in defining the characters and the story itself in a healthy way. Very cool developments!

2025-08-17 21:12:43 +0000 UTCEvery time Jordan and BYU gets brought up I get pulled out of the story a bit. Mormons don't drink caffeine, let alone alcohol and the idea of hookup culture would be STRONGLY discouraged. They do allow non-mormons to attend but they're expected to fit it. I'm not even sure where Jordan's friends would go to buy alcohol. Even Jordan's visible piercings go against everything I know of the school. Not that she would be expelled for a nose-ring but she'd be treated like a Jezebel by most students and faculty. It's being written as though it's an ordinary campus that happens to have a lot of Mormons, but that's not my understanding of it all all. All told it's a handful of details in a handful of scenes, though. Not a foundational error or anything
