July 2025 Update

Maybe it says something that I just had to correct myself from writing July 2024. Time is a river, and my perception of that river feels like it's been doing loop-de-loops.

Alright! We're still playing catch up, I've got family stuff going on and as the kids say, "I've got no spoons left." I hope everyone is having a great start to their summer, and I apologise to folks who have sent me messages that I haven't been able to check - I see them, I plan to get to them and get back to you all.

I just posted the first of two sponsored OFG releases, and I'll be working on the next (and last) one while visiting an old college friend this weekend. Having some work to get done will give me a chance for quiet time away from the chaos, so I'm happy to get a few hours away from the larger crew that will be there to accomplish it.

Considering how rough last month was for me, I'm actually kind of happy that I got about 75k words published, but that's not going to be enough to get caught up with everything. The good news is that I have my yearly Writing Retreat out in a cabin in the woods in a couple of weeks. If I can really put that to use, then we should be looking OK.

Again, apologies to folks who have messages pending with me. I keep promising myself that 'Just get this done and then you handle THAT' and then the task takes longer than I expect, and now I'm legitimately an hour behind on leaving for a 3 hour drive. SO, I need to stop typing, pack a bag and head out.
