April 2025 Update

Sometimes I feel like my brain just doesn't want to kick into gear and it will look for just about anything to give that little hit of dopamine instead of busting out the creativity and getting to work.

Well, this update is coming 2 days later than I thought it would, but that's me right now - trying to catch up after what an awful month March was for me. Thankfully things all seem to be settling down - we even got what was probably our last snow storm of the year here out of the way. One minute it was an overcast April day and I had a carpenter working in my house, and an hour later he was gone but I looked out the window and everything was covered with snow.

Alright, I'm meandering. Let's cut to the chase.

Last Month Recap

I've already spoken about this past March in other updates, so I'll try not to re-cover ground. Suffice to say - Poop. That's it. It was mostly metaphorical poop.

This means that I'm playing catch-up, and not just one dangling story. I'm not even going to do March stats because it'll make me cringe, and I want to move on tonight to getting more writing done.

Year to Date Stats

• ~232,700 words of new content published

• ~68,600 words of edited content moved to Beta release

• 26 QT Spinoff Chapters reviewed

• Q1 Project (Author Website): 80% Completed - Blog Space pending.

Coming Up This Month

Step 1 - Last Bits of Catch Up from March, in this order:

I'm hoping that I can reasonably accomplish this over the weekend. It's a lot, but I think two of them will go quickly and I don't have any plans going on. All catch up time is good catch up time. Also, if I get to the end of this list and QTNW 37 Alpha isn't back up yet through the Automod, I'll just re-post the new version instead of waiting any longer.

Step 2 - Review and Format

• There is a stack of QT Spinoff chapters waiting on me again.

• I might need to take a day just to get postings for Literotica, CHYOA and StoriesOnline sorted out. There's a LOT of formatting to do, each site has different needs, and some stories haven't seen the light of day out there yet.

Step 3 - April Releases.

2025 Q2 Project

While it's not likely to happen this month, if I hit a day where my brain needs a creative break or shift it's good to have my 'big project' on standby. I'm very happy with how the Website turned out as the Q1 project, even if there's a few dangling items and I still occasionally get brought a formatting bug being caused on different screens/resolutions.

This quarter's big project is Prepare Model Behaviours for publishing. New folks may not know this, but I've completed drafts for the first whole arc of AMA: The Boyfriend in novelised form. Here's a quick breakdown of what needs to be done:

• Edits based on feedback from Alpha Readers

• Formatting for eBook release, including 'front and back matter' legal stuff and advertising this Patreon/the Website/another story

• Commission Covers

Then there are bonus objectives...

• Design and contact necessary partners for a social media Advertising campaign (I have a cunning plan...)

• Test production of an Audio Book version (includes further research with other Romance for Men/Erotica authors, find the right Narrator/s, formatting the text as a readable script, and then production time.)

• Seriously research production and sale of physical copies. Possibilities include Print on Demand services (probably through Amazon to tie with eBook sales, most hands-off for me, least profit for me), a limited 'drop' system through Patreon Merch or another system (method I have least information about), or a short Crowdfunding campaign as a preorder system before printing/shipping myself (I've helped with a project like this before, might be a bonus advertising by showing up new places, potentially the most hands-on work.)

So, obviously that's a LOT of stuff going on for 3 months, especially when this month I'm not expecting much time to go towards it. The 'Phase 1' Goals are all the eBook stuff. If I accomplish Phase 1 by the end of the Quarter, I'll be happy. Phase 2 is the Advertising idea and the Audio Book. Phase 3 is the physical print run. (Yes, Zaralith, I will get there eventually, I promise.)

Other Stuff

I want to send a big Thank You to everyone who has been sending me encouraging messages and comments. It is truly a blessing to have such a supportive community behind me, willing to offer a bit of grace when things get rough over here in Break HQ. As a tiny update - my sister is doing better, likely through the worst of it and the aftershocks of dealing with that. She's working on getting back to normal and making adjustments to account for not being 'better' like she thought she was. Oh, and my stress hives have mostly gone away.

And one final thing: I missed taking a screenshot of it, but last month we hit a milestone over on Literotica - 10,000 followers! Which is kind of unreal.
