(Not) Tuesday Update "11"/03/25

Well, folks, it turned out to be a bit of a rough week, last week.

The 'Really Well Managed' rate of production for a chapter of FoF or QTNW is three days - a big day of editing, and two days of writing. Often they leak to 4 days. This latest FoF chapter (40 Alpha) took a week because I ended up doing like three sets of rewrites because I wasn't happy with it. Between a tough topic and some rough stuff going on for me personally... just not a great week overall.

Rapid-fire updates: My sister has thankfully bounced back strong from her mental health struggles, but it was a hard 48 hours and then another tough 48 hours of recovery from the shock and trauma of it for her. I also had a friend call me with pretty bad news about his life situations, and I'll just say it included a sheepish request to pick him up from the airport at an awful time. And, to add to all this, I decided to do a little hobbying on the weekend to clear my mind before bed, ended up slicing my finger with an exacto blade and it was deep enough I felt it was better to do a LATE night ER visit instead of risking it. The Doc said I did everything right, and then superglued it closed. I replied that if I'd known that was the answer I could have superglued it myself right at my hobby desk. D'oh!

Thankfully I'm Canadian, so that visit and the updated Tetanus shot (just in case) cost my nothing more than my usual taxes. Sorry-not sorry, American friends.

Anyways, let's just say that typing with a couple of band aids and a cut on the end of my forefinger is a little more difficult than usual.

Completed This Month

FoF 37/40, 8 QT Spinoff Chapter Reviews.

Not that great so far! It's time to put on my blinders and try and get a lot done fast.

What's Coming Next

Anything Else

Thank you again to folks who reached out and sent good vibes for my sister. I appreciate it a lot.

That's where I'll end things for now, though, because I want to roll right into working on QTNW!

Cheers,
~Break.

Comments

ProjectQuaranteam.com is a great place to find a whole bunch of the spinoffs! It's not as frequently updated as, say, Literotica, but it's a centralised and specialised location.

BreaktheBar

I hate to be that guy, because I know you have them posted in one of these comments somewhere… But could you update us again on where to find all of the QT spinoff stories? Are they all on Literotica? I have been reading two or three of them, but not in a while. Thank you and sorry for the ask… Again.

You Canucks have earned the right to needle us Yankees. I just don't want to be reading a new commissioned work in which Canada takes over the States in a bloodless coup, led by all the TV and Movie actors/actresses that are - or were - Canadian citizens!

WSV

Happy to hear everything is moving in the right direction, even though the speed bumps. Never forget that life is about the journey, not the goals. I doubt a lot of people will find the amount of money they made, or how hard they worked important when on their death bed. However, most will find what they have (not)done for their friends, family, etc way more important. So, even though I'm longing for all next chapters😀, life is way more important than that.

See, I would hope so. But the Doc had a medical student shadowing him and he said "It's the same stuff you would get at home, but costs way more because a hospital is buying it and it comes in this little applicator tube." Maybe he was joking, or maybe not...

Medical superglue is sterile, nontoxic, and generally more flexible than the home stuff as far as I can tell. Probably best to let a doctor do it!

In this case, I was removing preowned Warhammer models from bases so that I could redo them in my army scheme properly. I much, MUCH prefer buying used/pre-owned to buying new from the absolute price gouging that is GW.

QTNW Rollout!!!!!! YES! And as always, Stay and well. Transmitted from The USS CARNES.

Just curious, what sort of "hobbying" occupies your spare time? (This from a lifetime model biulder).

Austringer Creations

Hey man, sometimes the models hobby you

Trying to cut your finger off is a bad idea, it prevents good painting and assembly
