Hello Folks!

This is sort of Part One of Two major posts that are going to release today in terms of 'Not Content' - this is a quick look at what to expect this month in a moderately concrete way. The companion post is going to be a lot more Meta, and will cover my current career and brand as a Patreon creator, musings and plans for the future in a 'businessy' way and not just about the story content - some of it having been brewing for a while, and some from my experiences at the Conference I was just at. If you're just here for the stories, don't stress about reading it because I'm sure it's gonna be long. Hopefully some folks will find it interesting, because I know it's going to help me work out a whole lot of stuff that's roiling around in my brain cloud.

Wait, is that AMA?!

Yes, AMA is on the priority list this month. But where is OFG?

The fantastic sponsor of OFG has asked if he can swap the sponsorship to AMA, in full or in part, and I very much agree that it is more than time to get back to Robbie and the Girls. I only have so much time though, and my brain can only jump from project to project so fast - especially when I keep getting tortured with new good ideas that I can't work on immediately. What this means for OFG is that it will likely see SOME content this month, and the Sponsor tier will be having OFG added to their potential picks to add more chapters.

But what does 'AMA Editing Phase' mean?

Well, I've mentioned before about the level of work I need to do to get Act 2 ready to start writing - let's just say that organizing the fictional lives of (in no particular order) Robbie, Cassidy, Catherine, Becca, Terra, Wanda, Leia, Ami and Zenya as they all start planning to move across the country is... a lot. Not to mention what happens with some of the other characters from Arc 1, because they are still alive and part of folks lives. Oh, and what about the mystery woman Cassidy warned the girls about needing to include? And Robbie and Cassidy going to therapy. Robbie going back to work at the Casino and his entire work life there.

Not to mention the actual PLOT of the Arc, which will focus more on the AMA itself.

So yeah, lots to plan, which means making sure I give AMA: The Boyfriend the same treatment I've given the QT-Verse (as I am the Keeper of the Sacred Timeline). Spreadsheets to keep track of EVERYTHING. Timelines especially, but also lots of background details to make sure every characters and setting element keeps the continuity rolling forward.

This 'Editing Phase' is also going to be looking at if it's feasible to break down Arc 1 into a series of novels. Not to steal too much thunder from the other post with plans and stuff that is coming, but Patreon being my only source of income is risky and being able to reach the eBook audience would be nice. (And don't worry, everything will always show up here first.)

So there will be concrete work on AMA, but I don't know if there will be NEW content this month. I need to get to grips with how long it will take me to get this editing done before I can promise more.

Weekly Updates

CorruptingPower has berated me about not doing enough updates for you guys. My goal is that, beyond posting Monthly updates on the 1st from now on, I'll do Monday Updates as well - just smaller ones to let you folks in on what's going on, bemoan the ideas I can't work on, and keep everyone up to date on what's releasing next. We'll try it for a month or two and see if you guys enjoy it.

Achievement Unlocked

I'm going to talk about this more in the next post a bit, but I want to note it here for folks who don't want to dive into what I'm expecting to be a behemoth.

Last month, while I was at the conference, we hit 1,000 Patrons. Now, that number will already have dropped back down with the monthly turnover - but hitting 1,000 True Fans is... well, it's a major goal achieved and it's extremely humbling.

You all have changed my life, and I am so damn thankful for you, and for these characters that have inspired our little community. I'll wax poetic more on this soon.

Weight Loss Journey

It's been a bit since I made my last update on this - unfortunately I had plateaued in July and August and saw no progress. I didn't gain anything back, but no losses. I'd slipped on my Keto vigilance. I've now course corrected and have been running clean again for a few weeks and am seeing progress again. I've also been out biking around my home town more, so I'm getting my ass moving. Now I just need to keep it up into Fall/Winter.

I think that covers all of the regular Updatey kind of stuff, and this sucker is running long already.
