Announcement: New Tier Incoming in April; and Future of OFG

Hello folks!

I've mentioned it in multiple places now, so this is the Official Announcement and explanation of the new upcoming Patreon Tier.

Side Story Sponsor Tier

This tier is designed to allow a limited number of folks to sponsor content for their favourite BreaktheBar stories that don't get regular releases. This includes new content for the mini-chapter/CHYOA style stories like Unexpected Affections and sequels or epilogues for the One-Shots.

Pricing: ~$60 USD
(I have to fill these in at CAD prices, so conversion rates changing fluctuate them very slightly)

Number of Spots: 5 (if things go well I may expand to 10)

When: The Tier will go live on April 1st, and it is not a joke

What You Get:

1) All of the benefits from the Reader Club and Alpha Reader tiers, including access to the Alpha Chapters of FoF, QT:NW and one-shots.

2) On the first of every month I will post a short list of stories for Sponsors to choose from. Each Sponsor will get to choose a story for their Sponsorship to go to. I will then write ~5,000 words, or ~5 mini-chapters, towards that story during the month. The earlier in the month Sponsors tell me which story they want to add to the better, as I'd like to work on these in bunches. Multiple Sponsors can choose the same story.

What You Don't Get:

This is not a tier to commission new works, or pitch new story ideas. I may accept suggestions, or even solicit them, from the sponsor depending on the story, but there is no guarantee of this. Sponsoring means you want to see more of the story based on my plans, not directing the story yourself.

This is also not a tier to sponsor more content from FoF or QT:NW. Writing chapters for those two series takes a lot more effort, and a lot of editing previous chapters. It doesn't make sense for my workflow capabilities to include them in this tier at this. As I get more comfortable with this new system this may change.

The Future of OFG

I've talked about this before, so this may be repeating myself for some folks - OnlyFans Girl has always been a sponsored story. My version of the story became a BEAST of content, and I was extremely blessed to have Aurelian15 sponsoring it and letting me go in any direction I desired.

After a year and a half, however, and lot of investment into the story as a sponsor, he had to step away. I am so thankful for him helping kickstart my career here on Patreon in the early days and I'll never feel any ill will for the need for him, or any other commissioner or sponsor, to step away from a project financially.

What this means, however, is that OFG no longer brings in the sponsorship revenue it did. For the past couple of months I've been releasing OFG Week to catch up on chapters that I'd missed hitting here or there previously and had been banking. I've pretty much run that 'IOU 1 Chapter' bank dry now though, and the Patreon has been stagnant in terms of growth while I've been doing it.

I LOVE the characters of OFG. Sabrina and Gemma are really special, and their relationship with John is only really just beginning. I have LOTS of plans for them, both detailed and vague, and as I've written about their first summer together some of those plans have changed and grown and adapted to the surprises they can spring on me.

I have no plans of dropping OFG, but I do need to replace the income of the missing Big Sponsorship. This is a major driver of the Side Story Sponsor tier, and to make way for that it also means I need to reduce the time spent on OFG dramatically.

This means that the main driver, as I figure out the balance of writing time in a month, for OFG will be the Sponsorship Tier for the moment. If all five Sponsor spots choose OFG, we'll get 25 chapters a month. If it's only one Sponsor, we'll get 5. If I end up with some extra time in April I'll probably write some more (because I do love them).

OFG has always been a community-splitting story because of it being written in 2nd Person. I'm sure some folks will celebrate this, and others will be disappointed. I'm counting on the community who love it to step up and help keep it going, otherwise my time has to go to new priorities no matter how much I love the characters. Based on the messages I've been receiving I'm pretty sure at least a couple of the spots will get picked up by OFG Lovers, so I highly doubt we'll see a month without it.
