Random Poll: What Should I Write On My Retreat, Part Two
Added 2023-07-11 03:15:30 +0000 UTCWell, I leave for my little writing retreat on the 15th, and y'all voted in a TIGHT race that I should spend my week away writing something 'mainstream.' That doesn't mean there won't be any romance or spicy scenes, but it definitely won't be an erotica story.
That being said, I have a TON of ideas from over the years that I could work on, so the next logical step is to ask you all - which one do you want to read? The pitches are super short and vague for the sake of the poll system, and you can vote for however many you think would be cool!
Don't worry about me preferring some over others; these are all my ideas cherry picked out of an even bigger list. They are all something I would want to write.
Cheers!

FYI: I made the Poll a week longer than I intended. It ends TONIGHT not next week.

2023-07-13 21:43:01 +0000 UTCYeah, a number of the choices in the TV show were ponderous. Not entirely certain how or why those were made. I also don't know how they continue on given the changes they've made to the ending. If you ignore the books completely, it was _fine_. Not great, but fine. Way better than the sword of truth TV show, which was horrible even divorced from the books.

2023-07-13 21:22:58 +0000 UTCAbsolutely love the novels. I own all of them in hardcover. Almost as soon as the TV show was announced and news started getting out about it I swore I would never watch it, and based on comments from some friends I was very glad about that decision. (Note: I said the same thing about the Ender's Game movie and that turned out as a great idea too)

2023-07-12 23:18:05 +0000 UTCI only hope you can also squeak out another QTNW or try to catch up with Corupts events. Would be great to here how Ivy, Vee and Kyla react when he proposes to them. Keep up the great work, which is why I am a subscriber!

2023-07-12 12:49:18 +0000 UTCI love Altered Carbon and generally think there isn't enough crime/heist scifi or cyberpunk books out there, would love to see that.

2023-07-11 18:40:04 +0000 UTCDitto, anything like Black Company or Malazan Book of the Fallen and I'm in. Picked some others too but Reapers is the one I'd normally pick off the shelf.

2023-07-11 11:05:56 +0000 UTCHonestly, they all sound good. I picked a greedy 4 :) - Steel Runners: A The Wild Bunch or The Magnificent Seven style western in a fantasy setting popped in my mind - Reapers: Seals are cool. British SAS are cooler, but you can't have everything. (I'm in Europe, the Brits are a lot closer than the US, (don't) shoot me 😅) - Farm Girl: sounds like a fun twist on the hero saves the world trope. What does daily life look like for those the hero leaves behind? - Super Hero rom/com: can't be worse than that stuff Disney+ is pushing out. And I don't think there's a lot of decent adult SH adventures out there.

2023-07-11 09:18:25 +0000 UTCBig true! I'd love to see Breaks take on a Black Company-esque book... Glen Cook is one of my favorite authors.

2023-07-11 05:45:45 +0000 UTCIt's multi-choice, so you can vote for more than one!

2023-07-11 04:44:31 +0000 UTCHad to go Reapers, since you're name dropping the Black Company.
