But this seems to fit more like a super powerful tied off shield instead, as it’s immediately mentioned that it could be reversed and stilling/severing was believed to be permanent until a certain discovery.

Not story-wise, but more in the whole bunch of new names and descriptions of the Seats, their Primes and Patreons. What was it, 8 seats filled in total, so another 21 names to figure out? Maybe slim some of the descriptions down a bit for the final draft to improve readibility? I am curious how you'll handle Jerry's first proclamation and how he essentially cut Anna's father's link to magic. Which, by the way, felt like you took inspiration from The Wheel of Time and the way Aes Sedai use their brand of magic weaving to cut people's link to their brand of magic, the True Source.

I am so invested in the characters in this story that I did not think adding in all these great Old Powers would really interest me at all. Color me surprised, I loved it. I legitimately did not realize how much I had read till I got to the end and went "fuck, now I have to wait". Really good job, Break, seriously. Above and beyond.
